This is a group of flashbacks from when the girls found out, as suggested by one of you lovely readers! Enjoy!
Jade
I was sitting opposite Jed, enjoying my time with him before we both went away to work, when my phone began to buzz on the table. Glancing down, I noticed it was Perrie's number on the screen. Quickly I answered it, checking my watch, wondering why she was calling at least 20 minutes early.
Instantly I knew something was wrong, her breathing was heavy and laboured, "You okay babe?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Jade" she whimpered, causing my eyes to go wide, I immediately stood up, pulling my coat from the back of the chair.
"what's happened Perrie, whats up?" I said, watching as Jed took my lead and stood too, waving a waitress over.
"Jade" she repeated, her voice so weak and broken, something I hadn't really heard in a few months.
"where are you love? I'm on my way." I asked, hoping this would get an answer, Jed paying as I did.
"h-hospital" she hiccuped.
My heart had sunk into the deep depths of my stomach at this, something had happened to Ebony I was certain and she needed me as soon as possible.
"okay, stay calm Baba, I'll be less than 10 minutes, are you in the room still?" I continued, as Jed unlocked the car.
"where are we going babe?" he asked, as he stuck the key into the ignition, the minute we had climbed in.
"entrance of the hospital, something's happened with Pez" I told him, the car launching to life.
"uh huh" I heard Perrie sniffed, her voice barely audible.
"okay, I'm on my way love, I promise I'll be there soon" I promised, as Jed drove quickly back in the direction we had been only 30 minutes earlier.
"please" she said helplessly, further shattering my heart, this could not be happening, not to Perrie, not after everything.
"I know baby, I know, I'm nearly there okay," I reassured, as the hospital loomed into view.
After this she went silent, only her shallow breaths audible, calming me a little that she was at least still there.
Jed pulled into the lay-by and I jumped out, hoping he'd understand the emergency, which I knew he would.
Making sure my phone was still connected I ran into the lobby straight to the lifts, spamming the button muttering "come on come on"
"Jade" she sobbed again, cracking my heart in two again.
"I'm nearly there Baba, I'm nearly with you okay," I said, as the door opened, revealing the most packed lift I had ever seen in my life. Tapping my foot impatiently, I waited for everyone to exit and rushed in, pressing the correct button to go up to the prenatal ward.
"I'm in 107 Jade" she told me, as the door opened.
"Okay, I'll be there really soon." I said, seeing her doctor waiting for me.
I sprinted towards the door and opened it, rushing towards Perrie.
"Sh-she-she's g-go-gone" Perrie hiccuped, I stood there in shock, holding her close, as my heart sunk further and further down.
This could not be happening.
