Another Disappointment

chapter eight

"Well, I needed this. It was fun," I smiled being pulled into Leo's warm arms. We had just left our breakfast and was back at my house. He kiss the top of my forehead, my face scrunched playfully when his lips touched my flesh.

"I had fun too," He said staring down in my eyes with his bright eyes, I smiled.

"Do you have to go or can we chill later?" I ask hopeful. This was the first time I had fun im so long being around this man lifted my spirits.

He thought for a moment, "What you got in mind?" He asked looking around our surrounding just checking.

I shrugged feeling his hands slid around my waist, "I can cook dinner and we can just you now chill."

"It is it okay if Mariah come?" He asked taking about his daughter. I loved Mariah. She was a respectful young child with a bright personality.

"Yeah, of course."

"Aright, imma go to the crib and shower real quick, get her, then I'll hit you up to see what you doing.."

"Sounds like a plan but imma be home. Just can over when y'all ready," I smiled wrapping my arms around his oversized waist. I loved the extra weight he carried.

"Alright, mama."

"Alright," I smiled releasing him. He leaned down and kissed my cheek, I smiled.

"Drive safe babe," I said watching him open the door to his Escalade.

He smiled, "I'll be right back." I waved watching him drive off.

Frowning, I walked up to the house entering the quiet house. I shut the depot behind me checking my phone realizing it was Sunday. Everyone was at church. Mammy use to make me attend but after experiencing the trauma I experience.. Where was God when I needed him? Why did he allow me to suffer if he "loved me"?

I know I have to get it back right with God but right now I need space.

I went into my bedroom and striped out of my clothing leaving only my bra and panties on and laid across my bed exhaustedly. With my phone in my hand I strolled through my IG feed until I fell asleep.

"She's naked! You can't come in yet!"
I heard Ryann's voice scream in my bedroom. My eyes fluttered open and I heard Leo chuckle at Ryann who was blocking the door.

He said something to her to negotiate but she wasn't haven't it.

"Ryann, it's fine move.." I mumbled with my cheek smothered on my pillow and my body underneath the fluffy blanket.

She smacked her lips and said something before letting him.

"Thank you," He chuckled. "We'll be out in a sec give us a moment," He told the girls.

Ryann listened and walked out.

"Hi, Ms. Rylee!" Mariah yelled before the door close.

"Hey!" I replied hearing the door shut. The bed dip beside me from Leo who sat beside me on the bed.

"Imma cool dinner and we can chill.." He mocked me, I laughed hitting his chest.
