Leo- 25 years old
Rylee-22 years old
Mariah- 8 years old

"This is very generous of him." Sydney's lawyer told her flipping through the divorce papers reading everything carefully. Sydney ignored her comment and began to drown in her thoughts. Her world was over. The only man she has ever loved, kissed, touched, has sex with was ending their marriage of eight years.

She pushed back the tears and staring into space wondering how she could save her marriage. She had no clue where she went wrong.

Leo watched her quietly waiting for her to sign the line on the divorce papers so he could be a free man.

"I'm not signing it." Sydney soft voice filled the quiet room gaining everyone's attention.

"Sydn-" He lawyer tried to speak but Sydney shut her down.

Leo shook his head becoming anger. He was suppose to be home hours ago, but he was stuck negotiating with her for the past six hours.

"Come on Sydney. I gave you the house, you can keep your cars. I even agreed to keep providing for you financially. You won't have to worry about nothin'." Leo spoke confused trying very hard not to let his anger get the best of him.

She shook her head declining his offer once again.

"If you don't take this you ain't gettin' shit. Don't forget your ass ain't sign no damn prenup." He threatened.

She glanced up at him with teary eyes, "You think I give a fuck about your money?" She asked with a puzzled expression on her attractive dark chocolate face.

Leo rolled his eyes knowing deep down Sydney wasn't no gold digger but he really ain't have no other cards to throw at her.

"What do you want?" He asked throwing his hands up growing irritable by the second.

His phone kept vibrating in his dress pant pocket but he ignored it deciding to answer it when he was finished with this situation before being faced with another.

"I want my family!" She answered standing up. "I never cheated on you. I've always supported you even when you ain't have shit except a damn dream. And this is how you repay me?" She asked heartbroken.

Leo exhaled as guilt sat in his belly.

"Hmm?" She asked tilting her head waiting for him to answer.

"Not only are you asking for a divorce but you're asking for full custody of our daughter." She said with tears sliding down her face.

"The same daughter that always be to busy damn to come when you do." She shot at him becoming anger.

Leo stayed quiet growing a headache. This whole situation was taking a large toll on him.

"I want to know why." She calmed down crossing her beautiful smooth chocolate arms against her flat chest.

"Why do you want a divorce?"
