Another Disappointment

chapter fifthteen

My heart thump through my chest at the sight of Thomas. He still looked the same to the icy blue eyes to the color of his hair the only difference was you could see he aged. Speechless, I stood up grabbing my purse.

"Wh-y did you yo-you.." I stuttered feeling like the unprotected weak little girl I was a year ago. My eyes filled with teas, Tabitha stood up coming to next to me.

"Calm down you're having a panic attack!" She spoke concerned trying to sit me down but I refused. I had to get out of here. My emotions were so out wack; I was angry at the fact she actually bought him with out me asking and for him to show up.

"I-have-to get out of here," I stuttered struggling to breath trying to get away from him before he could get any closer to me. Tabitha grabbed my purse and escorted me the opposite direction he was coming. I got outside and burst into tears that I was struggling to hold in.

She held me as I cried.

"Why would you-" I cried harder moving away from to catch my breath. She looked at me guiltily.

"I'm sorry- I just needed answers. I thought we could all talk," She said understanding she must've mad a mistake.

"You could of ask," I breathed out opening my car door and quickly getting inside the car and speeding away.

Arriving to my house, I noticed Leo and them were still out and about. I got out of the car and went up to the house. I closed the door and locked it.

"MAMMY!"

"Booty, why are you yelling?" Her soft voice came out from the living room. I quickly went into the living room to tell her what just happened.

"What's wrong boo?" She asked concerned.

"Tabitha asked me to go out with her for lunch I agreed, but she didn't tell me she invited Thomas." I explained pacing back and forth across the living room not hearing the front door open.

She lifted her hand up, "Wait-" she tried to slow me down.

"Thomas and my mom came and-" I burst out crying again not being able to control my emotions.

"Baby?" Leo asked hurrying over to me. He wrapped his arms around me allowing me to cry on his shoulder.

"It's okay. I'm here now. I got you," he kept repeating over and over in my ear.

"Daddy is mommy okay?" Ryann asked concerned.

"She okay baby. Go take Mariah and go play in your room," Mammy spoke up. The girls hesitated but obeyed her wishes. Moments later, I finally calmed down and was sitting beside Leo with my head buried in his chest with his arms around me.

"Tell Leo's what's wrong.." He said wiping away a stray tear. I took a deep shaky breath before telling them both happened in a more calm tone.

"Ryann told her the conversation we had about her dad."

"Thomas," Leo corrected.

"Thomas." I correction before continuing. "Ryann tells Tabitha everything so I'm assuming she told her about our conversation too." Mammy shook her head agreeing.

She sighed, "I told you tell her before she found out herself. I'm just so surprised it took her this long," Mammy said scratching her forehead.

Leo rubbed his chin thinking but didn't say anything.

"What you thinking about?" I asked lowly.

"Nothing baby," He replied looking over at me before placing a sweet innocent kiss on my forehead.

Later that night

"You sure you good?" Leo asked me. He was about to leave for a business trip to New York but Mariah was going to stay with me for the week. 

"I'm sure baby," I smiled grabbing his face and kissing his lips our lips lingered together before we pulled away.

He looked me in my eyes, "Call if something pops off. Levi's on stand by."

"Daddy, we're fine I promise."

He smiled, "Alright, come here girls." He called out from the living room. A few seconds laters our children appeared.

"Alright ladies so this is the deal. I have to go to New York for a while but when I come back we're going do whatever y'all want to do but you got to be good mommy," He said.

I smiled rubbing his back watching the sad faces appear on the girls face.

"Don't be sad.. I'm going to call and check on you girls everyday," He promised.

"Okay, we love you." Ryann said wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I love y'all too," He smiled embracing both of the girls in his arms.

"Bye," Ryann said turning red in the face, it look like she was to cry but was holding it in.

"Alright let me talk to Rylee," He said standing up and grabbing my hand. They said bye again before leaving the two of alone.

"I'm going to miss baby."

"I'm going to mis should to mama," He said sliding his hands around my waist down to my booty pulling me close.

I laid my head on his chest, "Rylee, are you sure you good?"

I looked up in his eyes, "I'm fine babe I promise," I said standing on my tip toes placing my lips on his. He sucked on my bottom lip as my arms tangled around his neck as we kissed.

"I love you," he said once we pulled away. My heart jumped he said the three words. The three words were officially in the atmosphere.

"I love you too."
