Season 3: Smells Like Teen Spirit
Alaric punches the dummy in the chest, piercing two thin wooden sticks in its chest. A target circle identifies where should hit. Alaric points at the target.
"So the pressure of your punch ejects the stakes" Rosalie nods. Rosalie brings her fist to her chest.
She goes in for the punch, the stakes pierce the dummy, but don't eject from the gun. Rosalie frowns and pulls back. Alaric licks his lips, trying not to laugh. Rosalie takes a deep breath before trying again. Once again, the stakes don't shoot.
"Seriously?" She whispers. Alaric crosses his arms and smiles.
"Sorry to tell you, Rosalie, but you aren't strong enough," Rosalie groans. Alaric chuckles. "We'll start lifting some weights. Put some meat on your bones. Have you never worked out?" Rosalie lightly shoves the mocking history teacher.
"Yes, I have! I just get tired" Alaric hoots.
"Maybe if you're lucky, you can bench more than a pound" Rosalie pouts. If only she were stronger, this wouldn't be an issue.
Alaric picks up a vervain grenade. "Do you know what this is?" Rosalie nods.
"I'm assuming it's a vervain grenade, considering that we aren't working with werewolves this time"
"Correct. It's the element of surprise. It's one of the only advantages when it comes to being up against a vampire. Alaric pops the cap off and tosses it at Rosalie. He smiles. "Surprise" Rosalie frantically chucks it into the air. It explodes in the air.
"Are you kidding me?" Alaric chuckles.
"Nope, I'm a hundred percent serious" Rosalie unlatches the gun from her hand and throws it on the ground.
"This isn't a joke to me, Alaric. Stefan attacked me and I don't want it to happen again. You, Damon, Tyler, Bonnie and Caroline aren't always going to be with me. I need to learn how to defend myself" Rosalie glares.
Alaric sighs and brings Rosalie in for a hug. Rosalie lazily wraps her arms around Alaric's waist. "I'm sorry for teasing you. It just shocked me that you wanted to suddenly go out and train to fight vampires. I believe you can do anything you put your mind to. We'll continue this later, alright?" Rosalie nods.

hugs Caroline's waist. Caroline giggles and hugs her back as the two awkwardly continue walking. It's their first day of Senior year and Rosalie couldn't be more excited and the only other person who can match her excitement, is Miss Caroline Forbes. Caroline and Rosalie make their way over to Bonnie and Elena who stare at the school and students. Everyone is rushing passed them, greeting their friends, catching up.
"Here we are. Senior year" Rosalie finally lets go of Caroline once they are standing still. Bonnie puts her hands on her hips.
"Anyone else think it should feel slightly more empowering?" Caroline frowns.
"Okay. So prank night was a bust. But we are accepting it, and we are moving on" The four of them start walking towards the entrance of the school. Rosalie sticks in between Bonnie and Caroline.
"You're right. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his dead girlfriends hinder this experience?" Rosalie nods.
"Yes! And why should I let the fact that my boyfriend turned his emotions off and is now a ripper again rain on my parade?" Caroline licks her lips.
