Season 3: The Ties That Bind

"I can't believe you guys hid this from me this long" Rosalie mumbles; running her fingers along one of the brown coffins. The witches dimmed down on the pain for her, but she could still feel the slight pang every once in awhile.

"Stefan thought if you knew where the coffins were, Klaus could threaten people to get the information out of you" Rosalie frowns.

"This is the rest of his family? Do you knows who's who?" Bonnie shakes her head.

"Yes, but this one," Bonnie walks in the gap between two coffins to the coffin that lays horizontally near the wall. "We can't open. We don't know who's in it, or what's in it, only that I think my dreams telling me to help kill Klaus" Rosalie walks over to it. She brushes her fingers on the coffin and it zaps her. Rosalie gasps and retracts her hand to her chest.

Stefan walks in the room aggravated. Bonnie stares at her in surprise. "What the hell are you doing?" Stefan frowns.

"I needed her to know about the coffins--Rosalie, did that?"

"Yeah" Rosalie looks at the pads of her fingers. They were red and irritated.

"And I needed you to keep her out of it, Bonnie" Rosalie scrunches up her eyebrows.

"So what are you going to do, Stefan? Run me off a bridge?" She crosses her arms.

"Don't tempt me" Stefan smirks.

"I think I know who can open the coffin, Stefan. And you aren't going to like it. I need Rosalie to help me find them" Bonnie glares.

"Who? Find who?" Stefan demands.

"I couldn't place the faces at first, then I realized the woman is..." Bonnie goes into her wallet and pulls out a picture, unfolding it. "My mom. I'll talk to Rosalie privately on who the man is" Rosalie nods. Stefan scoffs.

Bonnie and Rosalie sit at her kitchen table, scanning papers to find where her mother might be living.

"Los Alamitos?" Rosalie hands her a picture.

"Um, too old" Bonnie tosses it. Rosalie gives her another one. Rosalie smiles.

"Honolulu" Bonnie giggles.

"Ugh, I wish. How many of these are there?"

"A lot. I asked the Sheriff's office to pull up every single Abby Bennett in the country," Rosalie sets aside the obvious that aren't related to Bonnie. Rosalie pauses and sets the paper down.

"This is hopeless...Rosalie, maybe we should try and find--"

"Bonnie, this is your mother. I'll do whatever you need me to do" Bonnie grins.

"It's surreal. Having to track down a woman who bailed on her own kid" Rosalie sighs. Damon walks in Rosalie's front door.

"It was bound to happen sooner or later" Rosalie smiles softly.

"Sooner" Damon says. He flashes a stack of papers at the girls. "Abby Bennett Wilson. Monroe, North Carolina. Born in Mystic Falls Hospital, graduated Mystic Falls High, blah, blah, blah" Bonnie grabs the papers from him. "A little compulsion helps to speed up the research process" Rosalie slaps Damon's chest. Bonnie frowns.

"This is her" Rosalie stares at the woman in the picture.

"Yep, road trip. I call shotgun" Damon smirks.
