We landed in Brisbane and it seemed as if the atmosphere hadn't changed. Fans crowded the walkway as it came down and cameras started flashing like a lightning storm. I tried to remain calm but I was started to getting worried about this, there are a lot of people."Hey, you okay?" Michael's encouraging voice called me out.
"Yeah I'm okay, just a little nervous." Michael pulled me to my feet and held my hands in between us.
"As long as you're with me, everything will be fine. I won't let anyone hurt you." I took a deep breath as I smiled at his encouraging words. "Come on, let's get off of this awful thing."
"You hate planes?" Michael cringed at the word plane.
"Despise them. I hate flying, but it gets me to my fans and that's one of the things I will sacrifice my life for, besides you. I would take a bullet for you in a heartbeat." I laced my fingers with his as he slipped my sunglasses onto my nose.
"It's not even sunny out!" I proclaimed.
"You'll need those." He motioned to the commotion outside.
"Hey guys, come on, we can't stay here all week!" Frank yelled to us as we came down to the exit. "Let's go!" Michael gripped my hand as we walked carefully down the plane steps, the raging crowd closing in on us as we walked. Michael and I kept our heads down and made way to the SUV's waiting for us.
"That was crazy." I breathed heavily due to the fact that many people were invading my 'bubble'.
"I know. Usually it isn't like this at most airports, but each one is different." Michael's hand was still laced with mine. Although I didn't want to confuse anyone about mine and Michael's relationship, we are friends but we look like a couple to many people due to the way we act.
...
"I swear to God Michael, if you leave us here by ourselves one more time then we might as well kill each other!" One of the guitarists that Michael introduced me to when we got to the hotel, I think her name was Jennifer.
"Relax guys, I needed to be there. I'm here now okay and everything is going to be fine." Everyone looked at one another in assurance as they all made their way back to the rooms, leaving Michael and myself together.
"Well, that was a lot." Michael removed his fedora from his head as he went to the bathroom.
"I'm going to take a shower, you can relax or do whatever you please. The suite is yours to explore." Michael shut the door as I removed my shoes and walked around, the plush carpet sinking between my toes. I opened the balcony door to see the night sky fully pecked with glittery specks of stars with a bright moon shining down on the city. A cool breeze blew through my hair, which shivered down my spine. I closed the door and walked towards the bedroom to grab a blanket in which the breeze chilled me much. Since it was a beautiful night, I shut the lights off and opened each and every curtain that faced towards the brightness of the moon. I enveloped myself in the warmth of the blankets surrounding me. I soon felt a pair of arms wrap around me and catching me off guard as I screamed and jumped off of the couch.
"Anna Relax, it's just me. I'm just here to give you your pills." He held out the pills poured out for me and grabbed a glass of water.
"Jesus Michael, you scared the hell out of me." I sat down as I wrapped myself in the blankets once more.
"Sorry, I keep forgetting. I'm just so used to hugging you from behind without you getting scared." I swallowed my pills as I leaned back into my previous position.
"It's okay, you'll get used to it." Michael looked out the window as the light illuminated off of his face.
"Beautiful night." He commented as he glanced between the sky and I.
