The battle was slowly getting more and more bloody, Syn was focused on taking out as many as she could and saving as many civilians she could as well but there just wasn't enough time. A building was burning, two life forms were trapped inside.

Syn burst through and grabbed a young girl. "Stop! Stop, no! My baby brother! Please save him." The girl sobbed. Syn sighed and set the little girl down, moving forward slowly when part of the roof crashed down in front of her.

Suddenly, there was an impossible choice. If she didn't get the girl out now then there was a possibility that all of them would die but if she did then the kid would be far worse off.

She made it, turning around and scooping up the girl as she kicked and screamed, flying her to a civilian check point before racing back. All she found was a body but even still she grabbed him from the fire and flew him to the casualty count.

There was no way that Syn could focus on her guilt now, so she pushed it away and flew off, continuing her mission. "Stark, you hearing me? We have  a missile headed straight for the city." Tony was told through a closed line to Fury, his eyes fell on his daughters as she fought in the air, occasionally disappearing and reappearing behind her enemy.

"How long?" Tony asked with a sigh, JARVIS plotting a course to where he read the missile's signature.

Fury sighed, guilt eating at him as he asked Tony to do the impossible. "Three minutes at best. Stay low and wipe out the missile."

"JARVIS, put everything we got into the thrusters!" He shouted as he clamped onto the missile.

"I just did."

Syn was fighting off another group of soldiers when Natasha's voice came on through the communications. "I can close it! Can anybody hear me? I can shut the portal down!"

"Do it!" Steve shouted over comms.

Tony was getting desperate. "No wait!"

"Dad! We can't keep them off much longer!" Syn shouted angrily as she took out another one, followed closely by a second.

"I got a nuke coming in, it's gonna blow in less than a minute. And I know just where to put it." Tony said over the comms.

Suddenly Syn abandoned her mission. "No!" She shouted angrily.

"Stark, you know that's a one-way trip?" Steve told him, Monica was racing desperately across New York.

"Dad please!" She sobbed angrily. Thor saw her race away and flew after her, taking her down onto a building top.

"Monica you be good, and don't you dare follow me." Tony told her softly.

Tears raced down her face, making her skin sticky as it mingled with the sweat. "Dad, please."

"I love you." Then he stopped talking and disappeared into the hole.

Everyone waited with held breath for a minute before Steve spoke up. "Close it."

"No!" Monica shouted, jumping out of her suit as she prepared to teleport herself up to her father. Thor grabbed her tightly and pulled her against his chest.

Not to go down so easily, just before the portal closed forever, Tony fell from the sky. "Son of a gun." Steve said happily.

Monica cheered happily as she watched him but the smile soon died. "He's not slowing down!" She ran to her suit and started for his falling form. "JARVIS, get us there!" She shouted.

Just before he hit the ground, Hulk grabbed him out of the sky and put him on the ground, where everyone raced forward to see him. Monica ordered JARVIS to open his mask as she raced forward. "Dad! Dad wake up! You can't do this to me you asshole! I swear to god I will kill you if you leave me!" She shouted at him angrily. Everyone looked down sadly.

Except the Hulk who yelled angrily at Tony.

This woke him up. "What the hell? What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me." Monica sobbed happily and hugged him tightly.

"We won." Steve told his frenemy.

Tony nodded and grinned happily. "Alright. Hey. Alright, good job guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's just take a day. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is but I wanna try it."

Monica nodded immediately. "Sure, we'll get shawarma together, just don't do that again." She pleaded with him softly.

"We're not finished yet." Thor reminded them all.

Monica looked up at him and immediately went into adviser mode, standing up with a straight back. "Yes sir."

"And shawarma after." Tony clarified.

The entire group went off to Stark Tower, those who could fly flying those who couldn't up. They all gathered in front of Loki, weapons raised. Pausing in his attempt to get up, Loki looked around tiredly. "If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink."

The group helped clean up a bit of their mess, however Monica, Thor, and Loki all had to get back to Asgard. It was the day of their departure and they were all lounging in Stark Towers, well, Tony was pouting.

Jason looked over at him and snorted. "Man, she's going to up and leave a lot more now, you trust her though right?" He asked him.

"Of course I do." Tony assured.

"Then trust that she'll always come back." Jason told him, clapping his shoulder.

Tony sighed and nodded as he glanced at his daughter who had matured and grown up since he saw her last two years prior. She was sitting on the ground and playing with Angel, the little girl happily took to her older sister, loving the woman with all her heart.

Monica was surprisingly good with children, something she never had thought to be a skill of hers. When Angel did something funny, Monica looked back at Thor with a grin stretching ear to ear. The god was happy to see her so happy, and found himself falling more and more in love with the woman.

Pepper was so happy to see her adopted daughter again but was shocked to find the woman had found a man unwittingly and was clearly in love with him. She was also shocked to see the maturity that she had, Monica had grown from when she had last been on Earth, it was so nice to see.

Tony gestured Thor to join him on the balcony. "Man of Iron, you seem troubled." Thor stated as they got there. Tony leaned against the railing and looked across the city.

"I am." He sighed and looked at Thor. "I don't want her to leave, however, I know that this is wants, all I ask is that you guys work on a way to send her down. I can't just go two years without seeing my baby."

Thor nodded. "Of course."

"One more thing." Tony stated moving forward slightly. "You hurt her, and god or not I will end you."

Then, just like that, Tony walked back in with an amused Thor following him.
