Monica attacked another ship before her eyes landed on Loki. Angrily and without thinking she flew at him only to go straight thriugh him as she jumped out of her suit, expecting to langld on something solid only to pass straight through it.
"Oh shit!" She shouted as she plummetted to the ground, her suit racing down and wrapping her in it's armour before she crashed a few feet from where Thor just landed and where Natasha and Clint fighting.
"Kid?" Clint asked in shock helping her up.
Her mask flicked open and she grinned at him. "Hey there Clint! Nice to see you again." She cheered happily.
"And you, did you ever come up with a name?" He asked while Natasha and Thor gave them incredulous looks.
Monica shoom her head. "Nah, Thor's dad did it for me. Syn, like it?"
"Yeah, matches your level of badass along with your softheart for puppy dogs." He teased.
"Fuck you."
"What's the story upstairs?" Steve asked as he approached.
Thor looked at him helplessly. "The powers surrounding the cube is impenetrable."
"Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys." Tony saod over the coms. "And Monica I swear to god jump out of that suit again and I will end you."
"Sorry dad." Monica mumbled, blushing furiously as the rest of the group laughed at her.
"How do we do this?" Narasha asked.
"As a team." Steve said, like a true leader.
Monica just shrugged. I have unfinished business with Loki."
"Yeah, get in line." Clint muttered.
Monica furrowed her eyebrows. "I'm sorry, I lost my home for two yeara because of him."
"Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us..." Steve trailed off as he realized what Tony meant by Banner.
"So, this all seems horrible." The scientist commented mildly.
Natasha shrugged. "I've seen worse."
"Sorry." Monica giggled slightly and made a heart with her hand along with clint.
"No. We could use a little worse."
"Stark? We got him." Steve said, begrudgingly since that meant Tony was right.
"Banner?"
"Just like you said." Steve replied.
Monica smiled. "Dad was always good at that."
"Thanks kid. Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you." Suddenly Tony appeared flying towarss them, a big monster destroying a building in hot persuit.
With that Monica was off, saving the few people that were still in the building. "Damn it dad, a little warning next time!"
"I... I don't see how that's a party..." Natasha mumbled.
Steve looked towards Bruce. "Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time for you to get angry."
The mild mannered man just smiled at him. "That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry." Suddenly, Banner grew and became the angrier, less mild mannered version of himself.
So they all started the fight again, Monica mainly focusing on saving those still stuck in the city, and when they asked her name, she told them.
Then she looked up as thousands more soliders poured through and even more leviathans. "Oh shit." Monica mumbled.
"Guys." Clint called.
Tony cursed under his breath as he flew towards the captain along with his daughter. "Call it, Cap."
"Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, Syn, you two got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash." The pair nodded.
"Wanna give me a lift?" Clint asked Tony who nodded.
"Right. Better clench up, Legolas." He teased before taking off, his daughter on his heels.
"Ready dad?" Monica adked as she hovered in the sky.
Tony smiled softly, it being hidden behind his mask. "Ready kid."
"Ready dad!" So thatey started fighting, Monica taking one side of the perimeter and Tony taking another.
The human Goddess stared down the leviathan that was quickly approaching her and raced forward, igniting her blaster as she flew straight into it's mouth, exiting the other side.
Once out of the beast she continued her attack until someone shot her, sending her body crashing into a building. She blearily looked up ti see a group of the aliens above her.
Just barely, she managed to gather enough mental awareness and energy to transport herself to behind them, and wasted no time in ending them.
Her eyes flew around all of the unearthly bodies around her then went to the sky. For every one she downed, two more took its place. With a wprn sigh, Monica flew into the sky once more, attacking those she could.
Granted, not many were doing much better as they slowly were becoming over run.
Jason rubbed his hands over his face as he flicked on the tv. His young daughter was happily playing on the floor of his living room in California.
Every channel was showing the news, and what he saw sparked lost hope and fear.
He was terrified when he saw the invasion that was occuring in Manhattan, the foriegn forces vastly outnumbering the forces on the ground in New York.
However, when he saw the camera zoom in on a flying woman clad in black armour he grinned widely. "She's home."
"Papa?" Angelica asked from the floor, looking up at her father.
He quickly wiped his eyes and started gathering their things. "Come on Angel, you need to meet someone."
"But papa! Tea party!" Angelica cried softly. The young girl had just finished setting up her display of tea cups and pots.
Jason anxiously glanced at the screen where it showed the in going battle, once again zooming onto Monica as she disappeared into a beast's mouth.
"Nope, sorry sweetheart, come on get dressed." He stated, grabbing the young girl as he raced to get her dressed, dialing Pepper as he went.
"Hey, did you see? She's back."
