Evy was so distraught after Jerome. For days, she would only allow Oswald near her as she holed up in her room. He ensured that she ate properly & provided emotional support. However, he couldn't escape entirely from work. He would issue orders & receive information over the phone, quietly in her room. We gave them lots of space so Evy could heal & avoid being unintentional accomplices to Oswald.

The GCPD were holding onto his body indefinitely. Evy desperately wanted to bury him but despite Oswalds help, the answer was still no. That didn't stop her from buying a space & ordering a tombsone. It was finally delivered & set yesterday. Today we would have a small ceremony for closure.

Alfred drove me to the cemetery so we could watch from afar. Oswald & Evy were in his car. They followed closely behind the hearse with goons swarming the place. The funeral started promptly at 10am with everyone filling in. It was a very small gathering since the circus had left. Mainly because his only friend was my sister. We stayed until it ended & they drove towards the club.

The whole ceremony was a haze for me. Oswald held onto me which was comforting. Only our men & my friends: Selina & Ivy, were guests. Jay was only close to me so the friend list was practically non-existent.The ceremony was done in half an hour since I only had a grave. Butch drove Ozy to the club for work. Victor drove me to our home which was a long ride.

"Victor, can you do me a favour please?" I asked as we got closer

"Sure thing Boss. Who is it?" Victor happily replied as he flashed his signature grin

"Teach me to kill Galavan in the most hurtful way possible. Ozy can't know this or else he'll stop me. I want Galavan to feel everything as I slowly draw out his death." I asked with cold eyes

"I'll do this but if you get caught its on you. This won't be easy you know? I'm not going to be easy on you just because you're my boss." Victor sternly replied as we pulled up

"Ok, that's fair. Do we have a deal?" I coldly said as he cut the engine & turned to face me

"Sure thing. We start tomorrow." Victor stated as we shook hands. I gave him a big grin before sautering to my bedroom.

I decided to relax & take a bath. After an hour, I changed into my pajamas since I had the day off. I was ready for a nap when I found a note on my nightstand. It was a scroll with italic writing.

Train for your destiny. I look forward to your progress.

The note wasn't signed but I knew exactly who it was. Ras was reminding me that he was watching me. It was imperative that I did well with Victor to keep Ras interest. I quickly got rid of the note by burning it. I finally fell asleep once that was done.

The next morning I woke up to Ozy wrapped around my waist. I smirked as I gently rolled over to face him. I made feather light touches on his face as I savoured his relaxed, angelic features. Emboldened, I hooked a leg around his waist before tenderly kissing him. He slowly reciprocated before turning it up. I was quickly flipped on my back as our kiss turned passionate & I scratched his back.

"Mm,good morning to you too. Feeling better?" Ozy asked me as we parted

"Good morning too. Slightly but enough to get back to work." I replied before giving him a quick kiss

"Ok but I'll keep it light." Ozy promised before getting out of bed

"Fine but save some of the fun stuff for me." I huffed as I watched him change

"I'm afraid there won't be much fun. Jim asked me to investigate who sprang Jerome. I agreed & am having a meeting tonight. Hopefully someone knows. It's preposterous to think an old blind man, no matter how much he loves his son, could break out Gotham's worst." Ozy revealed as I silently got behind him
