The escape

Alfred was stabilised after a few days. Bruce & I never left his side so Gordon brought us food. Even Ozy risked coming to see me to check in. Our meetings were done in a vacant hallway or broom closet. I appreciated the gesture & made sure he knew. Before he left, he gave me protection which would roam the halls.

Selina & Ivy came to visit as well. The meeting between Selina & Bruce was awkward. Ivy & I left the room but stayed close to eavesdrop. Bruce seemed hellbent to catch Payne for revenge. Selina offered to help which I knew we would need. It wouldn't be easy going against the board. I came back in once Selina left.

"You know that you're not a one man army right?"I reminded him

"I know but after Alfred...I won't let anyone get hurt or worse..." Bruce argued before cutting himself off

"Or worse, what? Killed. You really think that it would be better for you to go alone & get caught. Listen, I have one job in my screwed up life, you. Keeping you alive & safe is my one priority. If anyone is going to bust down doors and walk into hell it'll be me." I replied

"I can't ask you to sacrifice yourself. You're all I have left besides Alfred!" Bruce yelled as tears overcame him

"Come here. You won't lose me. Its my job as your big sister to protect you by any means. Even if that means taking a bullet." I assured him as I hugged him. I broke the hug to look him in the eye. "You're going to do far better with your life than I. You're the one who'll live up to the name. I'm not going to let you toss it away. I love you, remember that." I revealed to him before leaving for the club.

I managed to sneak into my room through a side window. Once inside, I quickly dumped my normal clothes to transform into Red. With my makeup & wig in place, I was ready to step out. As I walked the club, I made sure to terrify Ozys men and quickly got to speed. I gave a few orders to get the day started right before heading to our office.

This time I decided not to knock. Just to surprise him considering the rough prior week. I threw open the door which startled everyone. All I had to do was glare and click my tongue to clear the room. Once it was clear, I swiftly locked the door.

"Wow, things really fall apart when I'm gone." I commented as Ozy came and embraced me.

"Which is why I kept badgering you about when you were returning. I've missed you a lot." Ozy replied as he slyly brought me to the desk

"Hmm, how much have you really? I just need a tiny demonstration." I teased him which darkened his eyes with lust

"Oh baby, you have no idea. But I can show you." Ozy answered as my breath hitched from hitting the desk.

In a moment, Ozys lips were on mine. It started sweet but quickly became needy as Ozys tongue slipped into my mouth and his hands caressed my curves. I tried to return the ferocity as I dug my hands in his hair and pressed myself tightly against him. He ended the long heated kiss by softly pressing my forehead.

"You're the only girl for me, my sweet dove." Ozy replied which made me hum contently. Our sweet moment was interrupted by a knock on our door. Ozy growled enter as he held onto me.

"Cobblepot...I'm sorry. I didn't know you had company." Gordon said as Harvey smirked from behind him

"Jim, my dear friend. That fault is mine. I should have told my men before. Should I assume that its time to go?" Ozy replied which made me turn his head to me

"Going where?" I asked menacingly. Harvey made a smart comment as he held Jim back

"Jim needs my help getting to Loebs secret files. In return, I get a favour & 5mins to take anything not about the cops." Oswald meekly answered before giving puppy eyes. "Given recent events, I thought that it was best for just me to go."
