Maroni kept me going on odd jobs for weeks before he finally entrusted me with a vital mission: send his regards to fish Mooney. He meant for this to be an act of goodwill as a way to avoid starting another war. He wanted to give her a handmade letter opener. I happily agreed to do it while inside I was extremely nervous. I knew Fish would be furious with me but I was scared of Red. Jerome said that she read the letter and was angry. She wanted a break until she figured out everything. I understood her decision since I was making her pick between her mom and at least a friend. I hoped to see her to at least explain in person but also hoped that she wouldn't be home. I would be arriving at the club at 9pm which was during their peak hours. For the rest of the day, I was doing odd jobs once again.

I hated being an errand boy but didn't mind if it was for her safety. After reading the letter, Red was furious at Umbrella boy. She poured her extra hate into her daily duties for the past few days. Fish and Butch asked me to stay to help calm her which I was happy to do. Fish had me stay in her room since there were no spare rooms. The cops were still investigating my whore mother's murder so I had to inform them of my whereabouts. I did my best to misdirect them which they seemed to be buying. However, I had a suspicion that Gordon was catching on. I decided that I would come clean to Red, the only person who never saw me as a freak. I felt that she of all people wouldn't be terrified. I really hoped that my instinct was right cause it would be a shame to snap her pretty neck. Red finished her duties around 5pm and came back to her room to crash. I helped her put her stuff away before grabbing dinner for us from the kitchen. The chefs prepared her favourite meal in the hopes of cheering her up. They just gave me a sandwich and some fries. I came back to her room and set the food down on her bed where we ate in silence. The only noise came from the club just outside her door.
"Hey dollface, still gloomy?" I asked as I rubbed her hand
"Yeah just a bit. Thanks for being here. I really need your company." Red replied with a small smile.
"Of course, anything for you. I mean absolutely anything." I assured her. She gave me a small nod which kept the room eerily silent. "I have to tell you something, really important." I told her. She shot her head up and began to clear the bed.
"Alright, what's on your mind? You know I won't judge." Red replied as she wiggled closer to me.
"It's about my mom. You know how abusive and cruel she was to me. Hell, you even saw a few episodes." I said still extremely nervous.
"Jay, why are you telling me what I already know?" She asked sweetly.
"Well, the night she went missing, we got into a fight. She was doing her thing with some random clown and was of course extra loud. I was just relaxing in the living room when she shouted at me to do the dishes in between her disgusting moans! I mean the nerve of the woman to shout orders when shes just handing her body out for free. I had enough and just saw red. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife. I went into her room and tossed the clown out. She was pissed at me for interrupting her fun time so she smacked me. I stormed out ignoring her screams as she followed me to this hill. It was so secluded and private that I just snapped. The dumb bitch followed me like cattle for slaughter to the hill, where I just began stabbing her. I just kept going until her robes were painted red. The blind man, Mr. Cicero, helped me clean up and the rest of the day you know." I recounted as I carefully watched her face. She was terrified and began to slowly edge away from me.
"Red, please say something, anything." I pleaded as I stayed in place.
"You... you... how...why...why!" Red said as she spiraled into a sobbing mess. I went to go hug her but she bolted to the door. I ran to it in time to block it as I kept my hand on the lock.
