It had been months since I sent Butch to Galavan. He reported back to me every month on his progress which was painfully slow. He was still working on Galavan's trust so he could snoop peacefully. The girls had fun with his stump by giving him a mallet.Once again, he brought back excuse for not delivering my mother. I dismissed under the threat of cutting his last hand as motivation. I was slowly losing my patience but Evy helped calm me down. For her sake, I controlled my stress since Galavan had us both at our ends.

She was a powder keg as Bruce became more smitten with Galavan's niece. Life was hardly getting any easier as more of her friends got in trouble. The Pike brother's had a sister whom She & Selina used to be friends with. Bridgit was in serious trouble after killing a cop so they were trying to help her get out of town. However, their plan backfired when Bridgit got kidnapped & toasted her brothers. With the cops scouring the city for her, She & Selina were doubtful of her odds. I tried to cheer her up but it didn't work well. She spent the rest of the afternoon in the gym to work out her anger. I worked hard so that I'd be free to drop her off at the mansion in the evening.

I had my hands full with try to protect my dope brother, saving Gertrude & now Bridgit from being arrested for 3 murders. Ozy was sweet as he did his best to calm me but I knew his nerves were shot too. Butch was cautiously looking for info but it was taking longer than Ozy liked. To cool off, I was going to train with Zsasz.

"Hey, Zsasz ready to beat my ass again?" I joked as I entered the ring

"That's what the ice is for boss." Zsasz replied before getting to business, "Square up."

Zsasz gave me a moment to get settled before throwing the first punch. I ducked to give for a body shot which he used to put me in a headlock. I used my hand to block his knees but felt suffocated. I went on the offensive as I threw a cheap shot by punching him in the balls. He hissed in pain which allowed me to wiggle out. I corrected my mistake as I kept my distance & didn't lunge forward. Zsasz kept it interesting as he threw a variety of punches & kicks while trying to pin me. I managed to get the jump on him when he grappled me to the ground. As he tried to punch me, I put him in an arm bar, making sure the hold was tight & painful. He tapped the mat to stop me.

"Damn, you're learning quick. Next time, I think we'll do some advanced stuff with knives." He commented

"Really? That sounds like fun." I excitedly asked

"Oh yeah & it really is. For now, gun range until you have to leave. You're still sloppy with your aim & slow on the draw. It'll get you killed with Galavan." Zsasz ordered

We worked on the gun range till the evening which was tiring. Zsasz drilled me hard about missing & losing focus. After a while, I fell into a rhythm & was improving a lot. Zsasz was pleased as I showed that I wasn't a waste of time. I was really starting to enjoy training as it gave me the skills to protect my family. He let me leave an hour before Ozy was going to drop me off at the mansion. I couldn't stomach the thought of having dinner with the Galavan's & dreaded the approaching time. I was getting ready like it was my execution.

"God, I wish you didn't have to go." Ozy lamented as I finished in the bathroom

"If I don't, he'll figure out that Red Mooney & Evy Wayne are the same girl. I'll be utterly powerless to help." I reminded him before looping my hands around his neck, "I'll call when its over. I don't like this any more than you but its the only way to stay safe, especially when we're making a big gamble."

"I know, I know. Please stay safe. It's awfully lonely without you." Ozy cooed

"Of course, my shinning knight. I'll be back before you know it." I assured him before we left
