The growl split through the air as the hatchet lodged into the tree, the blade made a nice cut that held it in place. "Not bad, for someone with a bag on their head," Anna smirked at Sally.
She secretly rolled her eyes and watched how Anna threw it. Her hand moving back and having a firm grip before throwing it. The hatchet flew with surprisingly good accuracy and speed.
"Goodness!" Sally yelled as she heard the thwack of the hatchet being lodged in the tree. "Good, right? I mean, you did really well your first try." Anna smiles brightly.
Sally felt her cheeks burn under her bag at her compliment. "Th-Thanks." Sally smiled, Anna looked at her. "Your bandages on your arm. How did it happen?" Anna asked. She saw Sally flinch slightly, causing her to feel bad for messing with her.
"Sit," Sally muttered, patting a space close to her as they sat on the cool grass. "I don't think it's bad, I mean, look at Lisa. The survivors call her a hag and whatever happened to her was far from her fault." Sally told Anna. "Though Lisa likes what she does, you, on the other hand, seem to be hesitant. I feel the ones who suffer the most and choose to be good is better than the ones who become the monsters to do the exact same to more innocents." Anna wondered out loud.
"You only know half the story Anna, she could've held onto hope. The only reason she lived was that she was finally able to escape but vengeance brought her to the Entity." Sally explained causing Anna to slowly nodded. "I never thought about it that way," Anna said slowly.
"So, your arms?" Anna asked, looking at Sally's arms. Sally held her breath and looked at her. She opened her hand to show an orange glow. "That's Spencer's last breath?" Anna asked the name caused Sally to tense up. "Yes." She replied uncomfortably.
"Once I got this power, my hands and arms began to burn until it turns gray and ashy. It hurt like hell, like being forced against your will with smoldering coals until the feeling stays in your skin. I hated the way it looked so I wrapped my arms in the bandages to hide it." Sally explain, a bit uncomfortable in the situation.
Anna looked at her before hugging her tightly. "Everyone needs a hug because even in their last moments. A hug is all we need to show how much they cared for us." Anna told her as they shifted to lay in the grass. "That's," Sally paused before replying, her voice cracking, "actually really accurate."
Anna rolled to her side and placed her hand gently on the bag covering her face. "Can I take this off or will you pull a Myers?" Anna asked warmly. It took a few moments for Sally to nod. Anna smiled as she slowly took the bag off, her heart beating face.
It's was she would expect someone to hide who's been abused. Her left eye seemed to have a scar going through it. Her skin pale and lifeless with bruises on her face. Not only that but her face looked as if she was set on fire and the ashes had been replaced as her skin.
"I'm hideous, I know okay?" Sally told her, causing Anna to snap from her thoughts to kissing her. Sally's surprised yelp was muffled as Anna placed her hand gently on her cheek. "I love your personality, nothing that your physical appearance could distract me from. Your kind and determine nature is what drawn you're to me." Anna told her, gently lifting Sally's chin.
"I care a lot for you," Anna told her, kissing her again before they cuddling. They told stories, laughed, and giggled. Though as the tiredness washed over them, they wished for the stars. Why couldn't they seem them? What is because of hope?
Anna heard about them from the survivors. Something so bright that could chase the darkness away and if you really knew them they could show a lost person in the dark to find their way. They even have the power to tell a story about anything and could even show you some drawing.
Anna wondered if she'd seen once before until she smiled. She looked over and saw Sally passed out and cuddling with her. Anna had already seen one, she was holding a star in her hands. She smiled brightly, as she closed her eyes, holding her stay close to her.

Sorry, this took so long. I've been pretty busy with school and testing. On top that, these past few weeks I've been sore as all hell with training and was just relaxing for a bit. So I hope this story is good! And as always, stay toxic my cuties!
