A yawn escaped Evan's mouth as he stretched, feeling his bones give out a pop as he felt a lot better and less tense. Its been a while since he's been the Entity's favorite. Once it was the damn Cannibal, then Freddy, and now Amanda.
Though Even couldn't deny he didn't have an attraction to her. Maybe it was because of the way she was so stealthy, like a hunter. That always causes his heart to always skip a beat and make the heat rush to his face. Or maybe it was the unique way she lunged at them.
It was no surprise the Entity favored her. Almost the entire time the survivors would find out it was her with pure terror and they would develop anxiety and paranoia. The Entity always ends up eating survivors broken and dull souls. Honestly, Evan didn't understand how the Entity could bare the same taste.
He was still salty about losing his leadership, sure. Though, there was something about her that Evan absolutely loved about her. Another yawn escaped from his mouth as he laid down on the floor when he thought he heard something.
Snap. Was that a small twig? Evan always had good hearing, making him the reason he used to be the favorite. He'd never lose the cries or the trial they left behind. Thunk. The sudden noise caused Evan to slightly jump back, throwing his arm out in defense.
Just as he does this, all he saw was a blur as something pounced on him. Evan grabbed their hands and flung them over his shoulder and landed hard on their back.
"Okay! Okay! Geez!" A voice yelled, catching their breath as the wind got knocked out of them. "Amanda?!" Evan gasped, helping her up. "Shit, I'm sorry. My defense was activated." A blush heated up his face from under his mask. Amanda giggled as she took a couple of deep breaths. "It's fine, I brought this on myself." She smiled.
"So, is that a mask or?" Evan asked, his head tilted. Amanda looked at him for a bit, trying to come up with some works to maybe make her point seem understandable. "Yes and no." She finally said.
"Explain?" Evan asked as they sat down together. "Well, it is a mask but I can't really take it off. It's kind of like a dark lock with magic." Amanda told him, his left hand went to the contraption that seemed to be seared into her skin.
Evan cursed the Entity's name as it seemed it added on to the torture she's already been through. "What would you do if you had one day to see your face again?" He asked his hand on her shoulder. She looked at him as she felt her shaking. "A-Anything." Her voice cracked and his heart crack.
He let Amanda curl up next to him and felt that she was drifting off to a slumber. Though, he waited for her to be very sure she was asleep. After a good hour passed by, Evan maneuvered his way to get untangled from her.
He walked outside and growled a small chant as his eyes slowly grew black. Smoke swirled around his arms as it burned into his flesh like coals. His chant became louder as the pain engulfed him. The smoke turns into a vine-like material as it wrapped around his arms and body, squeezing.
He let out a screech and finally finished his chant. He dropped to his knees as everything went away to catch his breath. Only seconds of getting a few seconds to gain his breath back he was forcefully pulled closer to a darker black of the ashy world. "What do you want? Think you can just come here uninvited?" A voice growled in his ear. Evan felt a pain in his back, causing him to scream out as blood dripped from his mouth.
The blood dripped onto the shadowy void causing the crimson color the only thing keeping him from thinking to become blind. He let out a gasp as struggled to stand back up but a searing pain shot through his leg causing him to fall.
"Stay down so I can look down on you. You think you can come to my realm and for what?" Evan's head was forcefully snapped up causing a pop in his shoulder. He was glad it didn't snap as he looked into red bloodlust eyes. "For your little friend? Just to see her face? Oh how fucking sweet." The bitter sarcasm was like a brick to the face.
"Anything," Evan heaved, a rich pool of blood gathered underneath him. Evan prepared for another dose of pain but nothing. "I will slave but, one day only. Though it comes with a cost~!" The voice attempted a soft coo but turned into a bitter snarl. "What is it?" Evan asked, shaken up.
The pressure was placed on his back causing him to be shoved to the ground as he let out a scream. It felt as tiny needles where being shoved into his back until a splash covered him. For a split-second, he felt relieved until the water was nothing but boiling steaming water. He let out a howl of pain as his skin melted and once he was fine ashes were covering him. His skin turned gray as he laid on the ground, coughing, and heaving.
"You want the dark lock to be unlocked? Then you must give me a fee. Once a great killer, I feel as you lost your touch." A metal hook was shoved into his shoulder and maneuvered its way to be poking back out. He let out a most spine-chilling screech but the Entity barely flinched. "Maybe if you were scarier, they'd be more scared, am I right?" It growled, chuckling as Evan was being lifted from his face.
"Done for now my little piglet~! Have fun with your own~!" A laugh echoed through Evan's ears as he was thrown from the ashy realm and back to his place. Blood and water ran from his body and he looked into the mirror. His skin looked so damaged along with his skin being gray from the ashes. He still felt the pain but he should've been dead by now and was glad he was still breathing.
He turned to Amanda and woke her up, ready to see her reaction. "Hey, its-" Evan was about to say until she jumped and flinched until she realized who it was. "Evan?!" She hugged him but not too tightly.
"Maybe this would help." He smiled as he lifted her mask up. He looked at how beautiful she was under that stupid mask. Her black raven laid on her shoulders and her emerald green pools that looked up at him with such shock and gratitude that made his heart melt. She threw his arms around him and kissed him causing his heart to fly.
His hands were on the back of her head as they shared a kissed that seemed to last forever. Though going things never last as they broke for air. Evan placed his hand on her cheek, letting her head tilt down onto it. "Beautiful as always." Evan told her softly. She let out a giggle and hugged him.
"Thank you so, so much."
