Story dedicated to CoricopatFan! I loved the idea before but just didn't have the time so, let's get to it!
---
(Y/N) rode up to a small shack outside of town, the smell of an diesel exhaust mix with the wet earth intruded your nose. You scrunched up your nose and set your bike up against the fence, peering over the fence.
The local legends were true! Evan Macmillan came back to the abandoned coal mine. You quickly dug your phone out and took a few snaps before putting it back into your pocket.
You prepared yourself to try and vault over the fence, though you had to be careful of the pointed metal that came off from the fence. You shivered when you seen some of them stained with what you could thought of it to be blood.
"I..It could be rust.. It's old it has to be rust." You told yourself as you jumped over the fence. You landed weird, slipping and falling over on your stomach.
You groaned and before you could get back up, you were eye to eye with a bear trap. Great. You finally met your match and you we're going to get killed due to how nosy you were.
You carefully got up and began to maneuver your way to the fence without getting your legs caught in the metal teeth.
The fence was a lot taller on that side, you wouldn't be able to vault it nor climb it as it had sheets of metal along the side of the fence. Right smack in the middle was s big yellow 'No trespassing' sign.
"Why would you put it on the wrong side??" Needless to say, you would've trespassed if you seen the sign but it made you feel good about yourself so you got up and looked around.
There was a large box just beside the cabin that seemed sturdy enough to be stepped on. You scanned the ground and of course, the glimmer of the moon reflected the traps in all of their fuckery glory.
You sighed and slowly made your way over to the cabin. Dodging each and every trap before making it to the cabin and instead of going over the the box, the curiosity was eating away at you.
Just a peak inside.. You thought to yourself. You went down on all fours, crawling to the window before slowly lifting yourself up to the window.
You couldn't see much but white, you lifted yourself up more to see around the object. Though it seemed to follow you so instead, you studied the object. It had chippings around the side of it and a large crack through the middle. You looked closer and in a instant your body tensed up completely. Eye holes...
You fell back and screamed as the door swung open. You started moving back away from him before he grabbed your ankle and dragged you into the cabin.
You shrieked and dug your fingers into the ground and kicked at his hand, desperately trying to free yourself. You wrapped your arms around one of the wooden poles tightly and wouldn't let go.
"Let go.." The mumbling from what you assumed was a mask murderer. "No! Let me go!" You shrieked, kicking his hand.
He did let you go and your scrambled to your feet, running to the fence. Your vision was blurred by tears. You were so close! So-
Snap!
You were stuck in place, a shriek involuntary made its way out of your lips. The pain that you felt in your leg was uunbearable as the flesh seemed to be easily torn away as metal dug deeper into your skin the more you move. You wiped away your eyes with your sleeve to see you were caught in a bear trap.
You desperately looked around for a release latch but before you could look anymore, you felt eyes trained on you.
You slowly looked up to see Evan. A bloody cleaver at his side and his iconic mask. He was a towering figure, but you never thought he was that tall but now here you two were, predator and prey.
He walked over to you slowly, his clever dragging the ground. You desperately trying finding the release latch before ultimately forgetting it and just trying your best to pry it apart with your raw strength.
But it was too late, he was over you with his cleaver raised. You don't know what possessed you, but you look up at him with pleading eyes. "Please...I'm sorry.."
He stopped for a few seconds before swinging his cleaver down, leaving you in darkness.

"Please...I'm sorry." Evan was looking at Herman, bloody and beat to a pulp. His lips were bloody and brushed, a black eye was the most noticeable. His arms and legs were covered in deep gashes, blood and dirt caking his skin. Though, the ending blow was the large gash on hid chest. Why was he looking at this? Why was he here again?!
"I...I gave you everything Evan.. I did.." He rasped, choking on blood. Evan dropped his cleaver, falling to his knees. "I.. I know Herman.. I'm.. I'm so sorry..." Evan whimpered.
"I...I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you.." Herman choked out as his eyes glossed over, his hand going limp as the coldness set in his bones drivibg out the warmrg.
"Please...come back... Come back! Herman!" Evan shook him, tears falling on his skin. Grabbing his hand and pressing it to his cheek to keep the warmth he used to hold. "Herman!" He shrieked out until his voice went raw and cracked painfully, which turned into a broken sob, letting his hand slowly fall.
Evan looked over to see himself with the cleaver, taking his mask off. He had a smirk before he turned and walked away. Evan growled. "Coward!!" He shrieked, tears rolling down his cheeks as the figure kept walking away.
Evan let out a whimper, feeling hopeless, feeling alone, feeling...scared. When he felt a gentle touch on his arm.
"Evan.. Wake up."

Evan was in the kitchen with (Y/N) on the table to tend to your wound without his mask on. The tention was so thick, you felt like you were going to choke.
"Th.. Thank you." You forced out. Evan looked at you slightly before looking away, before you cussed him out mentally. Was he really going to made you sit here in si-
"You're welcome but serves you right." He mumbled, wrapping her ankle up in s bandage. "Serve me ri- what?! You grabbed my ankle and dragged me to the house!" You yelled at him, defensively.
"You were heading straight into a bear trap and besides, you were to hysterical to run out there." He told her in a rough tone. "But you let me go!"
"You kicked me." He shot back before you let out a huff. "What happened when you swung your cleaver?" You asked nervously. "I swung it to hit the release latch but you passed out. So I carried you and put you into a room and I passed out. Simple."
You hit another long silence period before you asked, "What were you dre-"
"Don't ask about my dreams." He barked, making you jump back. Evan sighed and looked away, awkwardly asking, "What's your name?"
"(Y/N).." You told him and he nodded, "Cute name, I like it. It's time for you to go back home though." He helped you down but you shook your head.
"C-Can I see you again??" You asked and he gave her a look. "I don't want to da-"
"As friends!" You quickly yelled to counter his rejection. He blinked before rolling his eyes but a small hint of a smile pulled at his lip.
"Fine, whatever. Now get out of here." He told you and you did exactly that but before you left, you turned and snapped a picture. You weren't going to share it but keep it as a wallpaper.
You got on your bike and quickly biked home, liking about a story to tell your roommate so she wouldn't follow you out next time.
Evan closed his eyes and let out a sigh. Friends.. Maybe he can give it a shot again and hopefully this time.. It won't end up like it did last time.
"Forgive me...Herman.."
