David saw someone who was limping to a hiding spot. He rolled his eyes and make his way over to the person. When he looked down, he was shocked at how shaken he was. "Hey kid, it's alright," David told him. He reached his hand out which only made him flinch. He must be new and nervous.
Though it made David's tough and cold outer shell crack as it tugged at his heartstrings. This feeling was new as he gently offered his hand out to him. "Come on, you can take it." David offered his hand with a rare warm smile. Hesitantly, he took it and David put him on his back as they walked away.
"What in the bloody hell are you doing near that abandoned gas station?" David asked the kid who had his head on his right shoulder and his arms dangling. "I-I was trapped there, running, always running, from a monster." He stuttered, seeming scatterbrained and traumatized.
David thought that this 'monster' was made up in his head. "You may have a head wound. Once we get to my house, I'm sure I'll have you fixed up." David told him. "Are you a doctor?" The boy asked weakly. "No, but I used to train as it but I was seemingly too rough so I quit," David explained.
A few moments passed and his house slowly started to get into perspective. "Whatcha name kid?" David asked, looking at the tired face. "D-Dwight." He muttered weakly.
"Well hold on buddy. I got you." David promised as he opened and got into his house. He laid him on the couch and began to unbutton his shirt. For such a nervous wreck he had a nice body. It seemed like he went through advance cardio.
Bruises and slashes were all over his body as scars popped up in most places. David was scared to let Dwight sleep in case he wouldn't wake up. He rubbed his collarbone which made him stir and look at him.
Dwight noticed that his shirt was unbuttoned and that David's hands were on his collarbone. "H-Het but I uh- we just met." The nervous boy stuttered, embarrassed. This caused David to get brightly red. "No, no! This was the only way I could be sure to make sure you're fine and the collarbone seems to be very effective." David told him, his hands on his neck.
Dwight smiled sweetly at him, causing his heart to melt. David began to look Dwight over to notice his arm had a few slashes like someone took a sharp weapon of some sort and began to slice away. He began to give him some tests to make sure he was fine to sleep.
"You seem to be good besides a few injuries. You can seem to hold a conversation very well and you haven't really shown signs of a concussion. So let's get you some sleep and then a shower alright?" David told him, which he fully agreed.
David guided him to his room and let him lay down. David made sure Dwight was settled and as soon as he was ready, he grabbed David by his arm. "Please stay," He whimpered and begged. David never understood what puppy eyes meant until that very moment. "Alright," David told him as they fell asleep.

Morning came around and Dwight woke up to an amazing smell. A smell he thought he'd never smell ever again. Bacon? Eggs? Pancakes?! Dwight ran into the kitchen, starving. "Good morning Sunshine, sleep well?" David asked. "It was amaz-" Dwight cut off as he saw David without his shirt and with sweatpants. "Dwight?! Your nose is bleeding!" David warned, handing him a rag.Dwight took it and looked away. "God I'm so sorry, I-I'll just take a shower." He excused himself as he walked into the room. Thankfully, he remembered how it works and was thankful that the blood, dirt, and odor was gone. He stepped out with a towel and saw that there was close already picked out.
He put on black sweats that fit amazingly on his body as a slightly baggy gray t-shirt that showed a monster truck. It was extremely comfortable and as soon as he walked out he saw what was on the table.
A plate full of fluffy eggs with the perfect amount of salt and seasoning with crispy, juicy bacon that the aroma filled Dwight's nose. On the side was toast that was buttered with jelly with another plate if pancakes that had whipped cream with strawberries and blueberries as toppings. Dwight's mouth watered as he ate.
He ate and ate until everything was gone, even the orange juice that was filled to the brim. "Geez, how long haven't you eaten?" David asks, concerned. "I-I don't know," Dwight told him, taking a bit into another helping of eggs. "Are you a victim of abuse?" David asked causing Dwight to stop. "We all are by the Entity and the monsters." He shook.
David didn't know if he was crazy or not but the way the boy acts and the unexplainable scars on him. There was no way that a human could make a scar that deep and that dangerous and he still alive. David hugged him. "I'm sorry." He muttered as tears flooded his eyes. Dwight hugged him tightly, hoping he could stay here with him and this wasn't a sick joke the Entity was doing. Dwight put his head on his chest. "Thank you."
