"Can you get up now?”

The voice was firm—borderline annoyed.
Tzuyu had just escaped the crowd that followed her everywhere she went. The shortcut through the library was supposed to be her quiet refuge on the way to her cousin’s office.

Instead, someone came flying out of nowhere and crashed straight into her at the exit.

“Ah—sorry!” Sana scrambled to her feet, dusting off her skirt in embarrassment.

Tzuyu stood up as well, eyes instinctively scanning the girl in front of her.

She’s got curves, she noted absently.
…but I’m still sexier.

When Sana tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, Tzuyu finally saw her face and for a brief, dangerous second, she forgot how to move. Japanese. Soft features. Bright eyes. It wasn’t until Sana spoke again that Tzuyu snapped back to reality.

“I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you,” Sana said, bowing slightly. “I was in a hurry.”

Tzuyu said nothing. She turned on her heel, ready to leave—then she noticed the blood. Her eyes dropped to Sana’s left hand, where a thin line of red trailed down her skin. And without a word, Tzuyu reached out, grabbed Sana’s wrist, and started walking.

“Yah! What are you doing?” Sana protested, tugging her hand back. “Let go of me!”

Tzuyu didn’t respond. She simply tightened her grip and kept moving.

“Look,” Sana continued, clearly offended, “what happened earlier was an accident. I already apologized. I’m in a hurry, I have to meet the Student Affairs President, and you cannot just drag people around whenever you want. I have rights, okay?!”

With that being said, they stopped. Tzuyu turned to her slowly, then chuckled. “That was the longest speech I’ve heard today.”

Sana blinked. “Oh. You finally talk.”

“What, you thought I was mute?” Tzuyu shot back. Before Sana could respond, Tzuyu started walking again, faster this time.

“Hey! Stop pulling me or I swear I’ll scream!” Sana warned. Tzuyu ignored her completely. In front of the campus clinic, they stopped.

“We’re here,” Tzuyu said, releasing her wrist. Sana stared at the sign.

“The clinic? Are you serious? I didn’t ask you to bring me here. I was supposed to go to the Student Affairs office, not–”
She turned to leave but Tzuyu grabbed her wrist again.

“Your hand is bleeding.”
Sana froze. She looked down. Only then she noticed the blood.

“Oh,” she muttered. The world tilted. The next thing she knew, darkness swallowed her whole. Luckily, Tzuyu was already holding her. The younger one caught Sana before she hit the floor and lifted her effortlessly, carrying her into the clinic

As she laid Sana down on the bed, she immediately called out, “Elkie.”
The school nurse appeared, eyes widening in surprise.

“It’s rare to see you here—oh.” She glanced at Sana. “You brought a girl?”

Everyone on campus knew Chou Tzuyu—the intimidating daughter of the Chou family, basketball MVP, untouchable campus legend. They also knew she liked girls. What no one knew was who could ever catch her attention.

As Elkie finished cleaning Sana’s wound, she wrapped it carefully with a bandage. “She’ll wake up soon.” Elkie explained.

“Thanks,” Tzuyu said. “Can you watch her? Jihyo-unnie is waiting in her office. She told me to meet her at eight, and it’s almost nine.”

Elkie stared at her. “Wait, wait. This is the first girl you’ve ever brought here, and you’re just going to leave her?”

Tzuyu frowned. “She’s grown enough to be taken care of. And she’s not my friend.”

“Savage as always,” Elkie sighed. “Unfortunately, I have a lot of work to do.”

“…Fine,” Tzuyu relented. “I’ll stay until she wakes up. I’ll just text unnie that I’m with you—”

“I’m not with you,” Elkie interrupted, smirking. “You’re with this gorgeous lady.”

Tzuyu just scoffed and sat beside Sana’s bed, pulling out her phone. She glanced at the unconscious girl, then looked again. And for the first time that morning, Chou Tzuyu didn’t feel annoyed at all.
