While the rest of the girls were enjoying Sana’s cute and embarrassed reaction, the Japanese girl decided to stay at her cousin’s apartment, completely avoiding the endless teasing.
Flopping onto the bed, she stared at the ceiling, thinking about what she had found out earlier that day, how she had ended up in that perfect chaos, and how she was supposed to tell her sister about it.
Sighing, she turned onto her side and eventually smiled as she remembered her moments with the tall girl she had met on her first day. She thought that dating Tzuyu wouldn’t hurt her. In fact, it benefited her, knowing Mark wouldn’t bother her anymore. Besides, she's genuinely enjoying being with the Taiwanese girl.
Right now, her thoughts were entirely occupied by a certain Chou Tzuyu, until she eventually drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Sana checked herself in the mirror for the third time. She was wearing a peach dress instead of her usual pants and loose shirts, and she had applied a bit of makeup.
“Sana, you don’t have to wear thick lipstick or so much makeup. You’re already pretty even without it,” Momo said, sipping on Sana’s coffee.
“You sound like Chaeyoung,” Sana replied as she took her mug back.
“I just wanted to show something new to my girlfriend. Is that bad?” Sana added.
“No, but—” Momo started, only to be cut off by the sound of a car horn.
Quickly, Sana looked out the window.
“It’s long-leg. I gotta go,” Sana said excitedly, handing Momo her mug before leaving the room.
“Wow, you look… different,” Tzuyu said in amazement as Sana approached.
Sana only smiled. Tzuyu opened the car door for her, then walked around to the driver’s seat.
“Where are we going?” Sana asked as the engine started.
“I’ll tell you once we get there,” Tzuyu replied with a smile.
After half an hour of driving, they pulled up in front of an apartment building.
Tzuyu guided Sana inside, letting her walk in first as she unlocked the door.
“Welcome to my place,” Tzuyu said.
“Whoa! You already have your own place at such a young age?” Sana asked in disbelief as she looked around.
“It was my brother’s gift for my 18th birthday,” Tzuyu replied. Sana just hummed in response as she scanned the room.
'Her place is neater than I expected,' Sana thought.
“Do you like it?” Tzuyu asked, wrapping her arms around Sana’s waist. She kissed Sana’s shoulder and rested her chin there.
Sana felt goosebumps rise at Tzuyu’s touch. “Y-yeah. It’s very nice and clean. I love it,” Sana stuttered.
When she turned to face her, their eyes met. Neither of them spoke as they simply stared at one another. Tzuyu’s gaze drifted to Sana’s lips, back to her eyes, then to her lips again.
Slowly, Tzuyu leaned in and kissed her.
Sana froze, unsure of what to do, her eyes wide open. When Tzuyu pulled away, they searched each other’s faces before kissing again, this time deeper, more desperate and before they realized it, they were on the bed, staring at each other.
Sana tucked a strand of hair behind Tzuyu’s ear. The Taiwanese girl, hovering above her, kissed her forehead and whispered something that left Sana confused.
“Huh?” Sana wasn’t sure if she had misheard or if Tzuyu was just teasing.
“What was that?” Sana asked when Tzuyu said it again, louder this time.
Suddenly she fell onto the floor with a loud thud, waking herself up.
“That was weird,” Sana mumbled as she sat up, scratching her head. She smiled as she recalled the kiss, only to be interrupted by the neighbor’s dog barking again.
Rubbing her eyes, she stretched her arms upward and glanced at the wall clock. Seeing the time, Sana squealed in panic and rushed to grab a towel from the cabinet.
On her way to the bathroom, she tripped, thanks to her natural clumsiness.
“Ouch!” she groaned. “Oh God, why do I have to be this clumsy?” she added, rubbing her sore bottom as she continued to the bathroom.
After bathing, she put on Nayeon’s favorite loose-fit polo shirt, paired with Chaeyoung’s shorts.
Soon after, she headed back to the university, riding her cousin’s bicycle.
