In the following days, Sana and Tzuyu grew more intimate with each other. As for Nayeon and Jeongyeon, they finally announced their relationship to their friends.

Right now, the girls were at the canteen, and the students couldn’t stop talking about the couples.

“Where’s my food?” Momo asked the moment she sat beside Lisa. Rosé handed her a large burger along with a fruit shake.

“I can’t believe my ultimate ship is finally sailing,” Jennie said dreamily, pointing at Nayeon and Jeongyeon as they fed each other right in front of Jihyo.

“Yeah, our ultimate ship is sailing,” Momo agreed. “How about you two? When will you become a couple?” she teased, referring to Jennie and Lisa. Her dance troupe members only laughed at her.

Meanwhile, Sana took a bite of her burger as she walked toward their table with Nancy who also became her friend after working together on some group activity.

Moments later, Tzuyu approached them, holding a newly flavored shake. After greeting Nancy, she sat beside her lover and slid an arm around Sana’s waist.

“Here, take a bite, it’s good,” Sana said, feeding Tzuyu without minding the arm around her waist.

“Mmm, yummy. Try mine, you’ll like it,” Tzuyu replied, letting Sana sip from her shake.

“Ahem, I feel like a third wheel here,” Nancy said sarcastically, pretending to look around. “Where is that Mingyu?”
The three then burst out laughing.

As for Jihyo, she was busy taking pictures of her friends. She had a collection especially of Nayeon and Jeongyeon. She even captured moments of the couples arguing in the dorm, and once, when they accidentally kissed. The couple didn’t know about it, thinking no one saw them.

The whole week went smoothly. Dahyun found herself falling deeper for Momo, and to get closer to the Japanese girl, she asked Tzuyu to let her deliver flowers to Sana every morning. The Taiwanese agreed, wanting to help her friend. Dahyun used this opportunity to ask Sana about Momo.

Noticing Dahyun’s good intentions, and knowing Momo felt the same, Sana willingly helped her. This set up continued for a couple of weeks.

As for Momo, she grew jealous of Sana and Dahyun’s closeness. She was also developing feelings for the dorky girl but didn’t dare voice them out, afraid of ruining their friendship.

As months passed by and while almost everything is running smoothly, their friends began questioning why Mina hadn’t returned yet. Jihyo patched things up, explaining that Mina was busy submitting exams and activities online.

In truth, the Japanese girl wasn’t ready to face them yet. She was preparing herself for her confession to Chaeyoung once she returned.

By now, Sana and Tzuyu had gone out early to buy a cake for Momo. It was Momo’s birthday, and Sana wanted it to be special.

When they reached the bakeshop, Tzuyu looked around and asked, “What cake are we looking for?”

“She loves strawberry cake… without strawberry,” Sana replied excitedly.
“What’s so funny?” Sana asked, noticing Tzuyu laughing.

“Strawberry cake without strawberry? I don’t think that’s a strawberry cake anymore,” Tzuyu teased.

“It is,” Sana insisted, pinching Tzuyu’s arm to stop her laughter.

Meanwhile, Momo and Dahyun were walking side by side near the mini-lake.
Their circle of friends had already greeted the celebrant, everyone except Sana and Dahyun.

Originally, Dahyun planned to confess to Momo on her birthday. As they walked, she pulled a small box from her pocket and handed it to Momo.

“Happy birthday, Momo,” Dahyun said.
“I… I have something to tell you,” she added nervously.

“What is it?” Momo asked, her heart pounding. 'Is she going to confess? Oh my God… does she like me too?' Momo thought.

“I…” Dahyun gulped hard.

“You what?” Momo asked expectantly.

“I love… I love Sana-unnie,” Dahyun blurted out before running away.

She was terrified of being rejected, so she said the first name that came to mind, one that felt safer.

'What have I done?' Dahyun thought, frustrated with herself.

Momo on the other hand, returned to their room with a heavy heart. When Sana arrived later, after parting ways with Tzuyu, she immediately looked for Momo.

“Momoring!” Sana called cheerfully, holding the cake.

Inside the room, she found Momo hugging her knees, ignoring her presence.

“I bought your favorite!” Sana said excitedly, showing the cake.

Suddenly, Momo pushed her hand away. The cake fell to the floor.

“Momo?” Sana called out, confused.

“Get out,” Momo said flatly.

“I bought you a- ” Sana started.

“I said get out!” Momo shouted.

“What’s wrong with you?” Sana asked, completely lost.

“Sana, I know you don’t brag about how famous, smart, or rich you are, In fact you don't care about it all.” Momo said, her voice cracking. “But why do I always get compared to you? The grades, the friends… even the person I love.”

“Momo…” Sana whispered.

“I think it’s better if we live separately,” Momo continued through tears. “At least then, I won’t be compared to you.” She turned to leave, but Sana grabbed her arm.

“I don’t know what happened,” Sana said softly, tears falling, “but if being apart makes things better, then I’ll be the one to leave.” She let go and walked out, wiping her tears away.

It was the first time their argument had gone that far..
