As Sana stepped into the office, Jihyo immediately noticed the bandage wrapped around her hand.
'What happened to this clumsy lady again?'Jihyo thought, already sighing internally. Some things never changed.
“Sana,” Jihyo called, lifting her hand in greeting.
As for Sana, her face lit up. She hurried over and wrapped her arms around Jihyo in a tight hug—much tighter than their first meeting.
“It’s so nice to see you again, Jihyo-ah,” Sana said happily. Jihyo chuckled, patting her back. Sana had always been like this, affectionate, warm, and impossible not to baby. Her cousin, her half-sister… even Jihyo herself treated Sana like the youngest without realizing it.
“Likewise,” Jihyo replied. “What brings you here? Don’t tell me you’re moving here.”
“I am!” Sana beamed. “I’m transferring. I was actually terrified to meet the school president. Nayeon-unnie said she’s a very, very scary witch.”
With that being said, Jihyo burst out laughing.
“Really?” she teased. “Am I that bad?”
Sana froze.
“…Am I?” Jihyo added, arching a brow. “What exactly did my best friend tell you about me?”
Realization hit Sana like a truck. She covered her mouth. “Oh my gosh.”
Jihyo laughed even harder when Sana started whining dramatically. “Why didn’t you tell me?” Sana cried. “Why would you let me panic like that?”
“How was I supposed to?” Jihyo replied innocently. “I didn’t even know you were coming. And besides, you didn’t ask.”
“That bunny cousin of mine,” Sana groaned, slumping into a chair.
“She tricked you again,” Jihyo said smugly. Then her gaze fell to Sana’s bandaged hand again. “Anyway, what happened there?”
Sana looked at it. “Oh, this? Just me being clumsy. I bumped into someone and didn’t even notice I was bleeding. Thanks to Long-leg, though she brought me to the clinic because I literally fainted.”
“Long-leg?” Jihyo echoed.
“She’s tall,” Sana explained seriously. “Very tall. Also kind of rude. But nice? Confusing, really.”
Jihyo only hummed, amused, before turning back to Sana’s paperwork.
After settling everything, Jihyo hooked an arm around Sana’s shoulders. “Come on. You skipped breakfast, didn’t you?”
"Yes.”
“Canteen. Now.” Jihyo said.
Meanwhile at the canteen, Nayeon couldn’t stop smiling. She kept biting her lip, clearly holding something in.
“Nayeon-unnie,” Mina asked cautiously, “are you okay?”
“Yeah,” Nayeon replied. “I just remembered something.”
She checked her watch. “It’s almost ten. Where is everyone?”
“Yoda said she’s on her way,” Chaeyoung answered. “She just needs to grab something from the clinic. Jeongyeon-unnie should be here any minute.”
“And Sana-unnie?” Mina asked.
“She’s still in Jihyo’s office,” Nayeon said, then turned to Mina. “What about Momo?”
“She’s coming too. Oh–Jeongyeon-unnie’s here!” Chaeyoung pointed out.
“Great!” Nayeon clapped excitedly. “We just have to wait for the rest.”
As for Tzuyu, she leaned against the counter, arms crossed, while Elkie handed her something.
“Your friend dropped this earlier,” Elkie said. Tzuyu looked down.
It was Sana’s ID.
“Thanks,” she muttered.
“She’s pretty,” Elkie said casually. “I checked her ID, she’s Japanese. I like her.”
Tzuyu blinked. “Since when were you into girls?”
“Yah!” Elkie smacked her arm. “Not for me. For you.”
Tzuyu laughed. “You’re unbelievable.”
“You two would look good together,” Elkie continued, nodding confidently. “And yes, I have excellent taste. You’re welcome.”
“Whatever you say,” Tzuyu replied, slipping Sana’s ID into her pocket. “I should go. That cub will kill me for making them wait.”
“And you’re definitely avoiding the topic,” Elkie teased. “Go on. Hope Chaeng doesn’t break your arm again.”
Tzuyu shook her head, thanked her once more, and headed out.
While walking away, her fingers brushed against the ID in her pocket.
'Long-leg, huh…Guess I’ll have to return this soon.' Tzuyu thought with a smile.
