I woke up to a lot of weight on my legs. Peters head was on my thighs, lying on his right side, he had his right hand under his head on my leg, and the other holding me close to him. I smiled and thought about what Peter and I would look like together. Shaking the thought out of my head I rubbed his back. I couldn’t keep my hands off him, he was so handsome. He sighed under my touch and pulled me closer than I was before. I thought about waking him up, but decided against it. I reached over and grabbed the blanket off the end of the bed, covering Peter up as best as I could without waking him. I played games on my phone for a while before Peter finally moved, I froze and waited. He turned his body, lying on his left side and putting his head back on my thighs. I smiled and brushed his hair back so I could see his whole face. He fell back asleep and I continued to sit on my phone.
“Hayden,” he mumbled. I moved my phone to look at him, expecting him to be awake. “Hayden, don’t leave me.” I just stared at him. I brushed his hair back once more while he talked in his sleep.
“I won’t Peter.” I whispered. He pulled me closer and I wanted to cry. It’s been 2 hours since Jason left, and the front door just opened and closed. I prayed it wasn’t my dad. They were walking up the stairs and I started to panic at Peter holding me. The knob turned and my mother stuck her head in.
“Hi sweetie, just wanted to let you know it’s supposed to storm all night okay?” I nodded and she smiled at me. “Oh, your clothes are folded and downstairs.” She whispered before leaving. Lightning filled the room and I wanted to cry again. Thunder pounded through the room, causing Peter to jump slightly in his sleep. He is an extremely deep sleeper. His phone starting ringing and he didn’t wake up. I shook him lightly.
“Peter, your phone.” I whispered.
“Answer it for me please.” He whispered. It was in his back pocket and I slipped it out, trying not to blush before answering.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Peter?” A female voice said.
“No, um it’s Hayden. Who.. who is this?” The woman chuckled slightly.
“His mother, is he with you?” I sighed of relief.
“Yes, he’s sleeping though, do you want me to wake him?”
“No, just tell him he needs to come home soon please.” I nodded even though she couldn’t see me. I didn’t want him to leave.
“I will Carrie.” She hung up and I put his phone back. “Peter?” He groaned. “Peter, it was your mom, she wants you to go home soon.”
“No,” he said, holding me with one hand and pulling the blanket to his chin with the other. “I don’t want to go home yet.” He sighed, his eyes fluttering.
“Okay.” I said, running my hand through his hair again. It was so soft. After about 20 minutes he woke up. It was now 5:15 and it was still thunder storming. He turned over so he was on his back, but his head still rested on my thigh as he rubbed his hands over his face. We’ve been lying here for 2 hours. “Are you feeling okay?” I asked. He nodded, but then shook his head. I felt his forehead, he was a little warm, but nothing bad.
“I’m sorry for coming here and just sleeping,” he said, his voice croaky and so sexy.
“It’s okay.” He smiled at me. “Your mom wants you to go home though.”
