Hayden’s POV
I was happy that I woke up wrapped in Peters arms. Today was crazy, especially when my dad barged in here. Peter was mad but the way he stuck up for me, I was so happy he didn’t hurt my dad. I couldn’t handle it when my mom told me they were getting a divorce. Could you imagine looking up to your parents and their marriage your whole life, just for it to be a lie?
“Hey, go back to sleep,” Peter mumbled beside me. I noticed the light was now off, and he was in plaid pajama pants.
“You’re hot in plaid.” I blurted, my eyes going wide. He chuckled beside me.
“Well thank you, you’re hot in everything.” I giggled and he smiled down to me. He was beautiful. And his lips were soft, I wanted him to roughly kiss me. I wanted his hands wound through my hair. But I got a peck, and when I pushed for more he brushed me off. “Are you okay though?” He asked. When I looked up at him, he was serious, bags starting to form under his beautiful eyes.
“I’m okay.” I smiled. “I’m okay when I’m here.” I admitted, his eyes lighting up. He smiled back at me. “But I have to go home tomorrow.” His smile fell. “We have an exam tomorrow morning, can you just drive me right to school?” He nodded.
“Okay, enough talking.” He said, making my heart pick up. Was he going to kiss me? “Go to sleep.” My heart dropped, but I nodded closing my eyes so he couldn’t see how disappointed I was. His hand trailed my face, going up my cheek and my eyebrow down my nose and stopped at my lips. I kissed his finger and turned over. His arm slid around me, making me smile and I was glad he couldn’t see me. His face rested in my neck and I held his hand while we both fell asleep.

The next morning there was pounding on Peters door.
“Peter! Wake up! You too Hayden, you have an exam! Hurry!” Carrie screamed from the other side of the door. Groaning Peter got up, I turned over just in time for him taking his shirt off. I blushed, shoving my face in his pillow. It smelt like him, minty and his cologne. Why do all guys smell like mint?
“Come on lazy.” Peter said, smiling at me. I got up and we went downstairs.
“What’s for breakfast?” I asked, sitting at his table. He went over to a cupboard and brought out a box of Coco Puffs, smiling wickedly at me before grabbing the milk and two bowls with spoons. “You’re evil,” I snickered. We ate in silence. When I was done he poured another bowl for himself. “I’ll be right back, I’m going to change real quick.” I bent over, as if to kiss his cheek but caught myself. We both stared at each other, but I stood up and walked out. What the hell was that? Why did I do that? Probably because you love him. The little devil on my shoulder said. Shut up, I sneered back. I don’t love him. Just like. And want to make out furiously with him. I sighed, unlocking the door with the key under the mat and went inside. I waited a few seconds, hoping no one would talk. No one did, and I went upstairs. I brushed my teeth first before pulling on jean shorts and a baby blue t-shirt. I pulled my hair up in a messy bun and looked at myself. I looked awful, my face still tear stained and my eyes wide and sad looking. A knock made me spin around. Jason stood against the frame, staring at me sadly. He looked just as broken as I did. He took two strides before he hugged me tightly.
“We’re going to be okay.” He said, holding me tighter.
“I know,” I said back. Holding my tears back.
