Chapter Three: After-school Break

3pm. School had ended for the day. Everyone went to their dorms. Jude headed to the roof for his after-school activities. When he made it there, it was already occupied by a couple that was already making out. Jude felt pissed by this as everyone in school knew that this was his spot. He decided to go to the music class to do what he wanted to do.

Malcom was just walking around looking for Jace as Jude asked a favor. He didn't find Jace but he did find the next best thing. Johnny and Lars.

"Hey guys, have you seen Jace around? Jude sent for him." Malcom asked the two. Johnny shook his head and left, leaving it as just Malcom and Lars. "So Jude wants to see Mal- Jace." Lars spoke.

"I'm getting some strong vibes that you're new here." Malcom caught Lars. "It's okay, you'll adjust... Give it some time." Malcom told the newbie. As soon as Malcom stopped talking, he got a text.

AbbyDabby- We goin' to the mall, u coming?

MalcomX- Yeah, who else is going?

AbbyDabby- Jace, Johnny, Amanda, Tori, Rae, Lexi and Danielle.

MalcomX- Can I bring Lars?

AbbyDabby- Of course u can... Meet us at da parking lot in 5min.

MalcomX- Sure, wait... What about Jude?

AbbyDabby- I asked him 1st, he refused... We really need to talk to him after we get back. I'm getting worried.

MalcomX- Yeah, he's getting worse each day. We gotta help him out.

AbbyDabby: Already on my to-do list.

MalcomX: Can I bring Lars?

AbbyDabby: Yeah, the more the merrier I say.

MalcomX: You never say that.

AbbyDabby: LOL

MalcomX: That was just cold Jones.

AbbyDabby: Just meet us in the parking lot in 5min, or we leaving your sorry ass here.

And like that, Malcom locked his phone and looked at Lars. "What was that about?" asked the newbie. "We're going to the mall, come on... The guys are waiting for us in the parking lot." Malcom told him. The two of them rushed out and met up with everyone at the parking lot.

The only ones with cars were Amanda, Malcom and Danielle.

In Malcom's car, Johnny and Lars sat at the back while Tori was riding shotgun.

In Amanda's car, Abby was riding shotgun and Jace and Lexi was in the back.

And in Danielle's car, Rae stayed at the back while Vanessa sat in front.

They then left but it wasn't long before arguments erupted in Malcom's car.

"Listen paper boy (On account that Lars is pale) you're goin' with us to that underground battle ring." Johnny angrily told Lars. "No!" Lars refused, as if he were a five year old.

"If you wanna hang with me and Sonic, ya bes' do as I say." Johnny told his roommate. "And if I don't?" Lars asked in a tone that really resembled that of a five year old.

In Amanda's car, there was silence in the back seat, but in the front however...

"Heard you were in Italy, how was it?" Amanda asked her girlfriend. "Miserable, I couldn't stand going without your warm, electrifying touch." Abby told her. "Cheesy much?" Amanda asked. "Dunno, you tell me." Abby said before kissing Amanda on her cheek.

Damn, Jace thought after seeing his sister and how easy she had her life. He witnessed the connection between her and Abby. He felt envious toward his older sister before looking at Lexi as she stared outside the window, listening to music through her earphones. Abby watched Jace from the corner of her eye as he made a small smile while looking at Lexi.

Abby wanted to say something, but figured that Jace was to be the one to speak about this matter.

Back in Malcom's car...

Frustrated with the argument between Johnny and Lars, Malcom stopped the car and looked to the back.

"I am sick of your childish shit!! If I knew the two of you would go on fighting like a pair of bitches, I would have left you numbskulls with Danielle!!!" Malcom yelled.

"Now make a fucking choice, either shut up and all four of us can go to the mall, or you can get out of the car because I'm not taking this shit anymore!!"

Everyone else was silent. And a bit scared. Why? Malcom was usually the most chill guy at school and behavior like this coming from him is unheard of. Hell, Tori was even scared for a moment.

Seeing Johnny and Lars shut up gave him the answer that they'd keep quiet. He let out a sigh of frustration before starting the car and continued driving toward the mall.
