Time for Homecoming, two weeks. Tensions have been growing. People getting more anxious. It was time for lunch and the table was rather quiet. Eyes kept on Jude. It's been a week since Jude's friendship with Jay was made known.

Jace's date with Lexi was a success and it ended with him asking her to be his date to the Homecoming dance.

Jace and Lexi were at a park sitting on a bench eating ice cream cones and they were laughing.

"So you mean to tell me you had a crush on me since we met?" Lexi asked.

"Yeah, and apparently the entire school knew about it too. Well, almost the entire school."

"Great, you were obvious and I was oblivious." Lexi laughed.

Jace looked up and winked with his left eye so that Lexi, who was sitting at his right, wouldn't notice.

Next moment, a bouquet of roses fell into Jace's hands. Lexi looked up and saw Amanda, sitting on a branch up in the tree, waving at her mouthing the word "surprise".

Jace got up and gave his date the roses. "Lexi, what I'm about to ask you is big... Can you handle It?" She nodded. "Lexi... Alexandra Morris, will you be my date to the Homecoming dance?" She just blinked. The question echoed in her head as she zoned out.

Jace was now worried, of course thinking the worst. "Yes." This time Jace was the one who zoned out. "Of course. I'll go out with you... I've been waiting for you to ask me since we found out about it." She said forgetting what Jude told her at Music Divinity.

At that time, Jace was feeling elated.

Back to the topic at hand, Jude was given uneasy stares from Jace, Johnny, Vanessa and for some reason, Lars.

Lexi showed up with her tray of food, breaking the silence, "Hey guys... why so quiet?" The girl asked as she sat down. Jude felt offended with this shit so he took a deep breath before saying, "It's because of me... goodbye." Jude gave a low growl followed by a snarl before he got up and left.

They all watched carefully as Jude walked over to the table where Jay was sitting at.

"Mind explaining why you're here Hathaway?" Jay asked. "I'm done with those jackasses. Only reason I was there was because of Abby and Lexi."

"What, you need a shoulder to cry on?"

"Far from it. I just need to stay away from those guys." Jude said as he ate his food.

Back at the other table, tensions grew further. "What the hell?" Abby asked. "What?" Jace looked at her. "Don't 'what' me Cunningham." She said.

"Hey, don't take that tone with my brother." Amanda told her girlfriend with a stern voice. "Why should she? Your brother's beef with Jay is messing up everyone's friendships. The looks he gave Jude clearly shows how much of a jackass he is." Rae told Amanda.

"Oh, like you're one to talk you friggin psycho!" Jace yelled. "You're calling me a psycho?! Remind me who's the idiot that has eternal beef with the baddest guy in school? We all got targets painted on our backs because of you!!"

The entire cafeteria went silent. People stopped eating and watched the verbal fight.

"At least I'm not hostile ninety nine percent of the time!!" Jace yelled. "I'm not hostile, you're just too much of a jackass to see when you're wrong and you always treat those who tell you off as someone hostile. This is the exact reason why I dumped your sorry ass!!!" Rae yelled at Jace before stomping off.

In that moment, Ray felt angry with the way Jace treated his sister. Johnny and Vanessa felt a great deal of disappointment. Lexi only had one question on her mind and that was, 'Did I make the right choice?'
