Chapter Thirty Nine: Bad Luck and Pissed Teachers

Okay, this was a pain. Coming up with ideas is hard. I figured I might as well put everyone back in class because aside from chapter 2... when were the characters in an actual class... warning, there will be 4th wall breaks. Now then, on to the story!!!!!

Monday was not a good day to start off a school week. Everyone knew bad shit happens on that day and worse shit happens the day after. During History, Malcom, Jace and Johnny tried to stay awake. They were busy with the French Revolution and it bored the life out of them. They tried their hardest to stay up but the teacher's voice was the main cause of putting the students to sleep.

All the other students stayed up due to them taking massive energy drinks and espresso shots before class.

Johnny fell first. Jace soon followed. And then Malcom followed soon after.

When the three woke up, class was over. They received detention slip for staying asleep during class and they were already a half an hour late for their next class.

That was the bad side and bad luck claimed it's first three victims.

Art wasn't much different. Tori kept talking to Abby and Lars. They had a good conversation before the meanest teacher there, Ms Rater gave them all detention for talking in class, even though the whisper volumes were kept to a minimum.

The next three victims were claimed. Things were not looking good for them.

Music, not a nice place. Byron was beyond pissed off for some reason and now he was not to be taken lightly.

Music practice was a pain for the students, namely Beat, Tobi, Jax and Paige. They kept messing up and they weren't in sync and instead of encouraging them to do better, Byron flat out gave them detention slips and kicked them all out of class.

That makes 10 victims.

The only ones left unscathed for the morning was Danielle, David, Amanda, Vanessa, Note, Bailey anyone else I forgot to mention. (Don't blame me, I'm lazy to think right now.)

Thanks to a timeskip since I don't wanna go to each class, we'll skip to lunch...

The whole group gathered and many of them were pissed.

"Detention for two days. This sucks." Malcom said before he, Jace and Johnny banged their heads against the table.

"Try getting detention from that bitch Rater." Tori said while scarfing down Malcom's food.

"Oh yeah, at least Rater didn't bore you guys to death." Jace said looking at Tori. "Yeah sure... in fact, why don't you try out music, I'm sure Green won't kick you out like he did us." Beat said, not even touching his food.

"Come on guys, you can still get through the day, just smile and think positive." Bailey told the group. "Yeah, sure, stay positive for getting detention because Becky and I got the same answers on out math test. Worst part is that we sit on opposite sides of the class and it's quiet like space when we have a test." Danielle groaned.

"Okay, so the author is deciding to screw with our lives like he did Jude and Jay." Lars said once again breaking my precious 4th wall.

"Man what the fuck is you talking about?" Johnny said as he was irritated with Lars once more.

"We're characters of a book that the author takes pleasure in fucking with our lives. Like he's doing now." Not true.

"Man get yo' dumbass outta here." Johnny said before smacking Lars upside his head for the nth time.

"Jerk." Mumbled Lars quietly before he continued eating.

"Maybe Bailey's right." Said Abby. "We gotta keep up a positive energy and make through the rest of the day. Besides, it's not like anything worse can happen."

Detention...

Abby was cleaning the bathrooms to which she said, "Me and my big mouth."

The whole group was on cleaning duty and the school was a mess, especially the cafeteria after the food fight. Worst part is that our heroes got the blame for it when someone from the first year class started it.

"Is it too late to transfer schools?" Beat asked his sister as they were waxing the floors. "Would not be a bad idea." Said Note who was as irritated as her twin.

"Rat!!" Yelled Lars as he ran past the two. They looked behind and found a rat the size of a chihuahua. The twins tried to run but they slipped and feel down on the waxed floor.

The sight of the rat was still enough motivation for them as they quickly got up and started to join Lars in running.

The three bolted past Johnny who also saw the rat. "Ah shit!" He yelled before running way.

In one of the classrooms, Malcom was cleaning with Tori until they heard voices scream. Malcom went to look before he saw the rat chasing the others, with the addition to Bailey.

He quickly slammed the door shut before sitting down and praying in Spanish. Seeing her boyfriend pray in Spanish told Tori that she didn't want to know what was going on outside.

All that could be heard from the screams was, "This really is the High School of Hell!!!"
