Chapter Twenty Eight: A New Band?

It was finally time. Battle of the Bands finally arrived and it was being held at the nearby stadium. Many bands already signed up and the members of Hellfire Weasle had arrived.

Jay signed them up and it wasn't long before they bumped into someone who they weren't expecting to see.

"Jude?" Abby asked as she felt happy. "Hey Abby, look, we may be friends again but as of now we're rivals. Don't think I'm holding back." Jude told Abby with a straight face before leaving.

"Rivals? What's that supposed to mean?" Tobi asked. "Probably came to- why's he at the registration table?" Malcom said but Jude's actions cut off his first sentence.

"Jude, are you done already?" A familiar voice called out. It was Ray, who Jude had nicknamed Beat on the fact that he was a drummer and a DJ.

"Almost done, I was just delayed by those guys." Jude said before he finished signing up for Battle of the Bands. Beat looked around and found Hellfire Weasle, he was clearly pissed at Lexi. Ever since she joined that stupid band she put herself on top of the world as if she was a world famous pop star. Beat hated it and it started to drive a wedge in between her and Jace's relationship.

"Let's go before I unleash my inner Note." Beat said trying to keep his anger at bay. There the two met up with the rest of the band. Beat being the drummer, Jude the lead singer, Note on keyboard and finishing up as David being their temporary bass player and Melody playing the electric guitar.

A group of outcasts who now formed a band as it may seem. Jude seemed a bit down for some reason and David picked up on this. "Hey man, what's going on?" David asked. "I don't know... I thought Paige was gonna show up."

"Wow, I might not get laid a lot," "all the time." Jude coughed. "As I was saying, I might not get laid all the time... but I know when the heart is ready to shine. My man, you have a crush."

"Impossible." Jude tried to counter David's statement. "You can try to fool me, but you can never fool you. Go for it, talk to her and get her to go out with you."

"As if... even if I do have a crush on her, it's not like she's gonna say 'yes'."

"Sorry, I don't speak negativity. Go for it. What happened to that Jude who likes to take risks, the Jude that I know. Stop being a pussy and go for the pussy."

"Okay, you're fucked up. I'm not like you you perverted fuck." Jude said.

"Look, just talk to her and ask her out... I'm sure she likes you, now go."

Jude wanted to say something but was interrupted buy the owner of Music Divinity.

"Alright everybody!! It's time to start the Battle of the Bands!!! Sixteen bands here are taking part and the winning band of the semi-finals takes on my own band in the finals!!! Get ready... first band going up is... ShockWave!!!"

"That's our cue guys." Beat said before the rest of the band walked up to the stage.
