Jude walked over to music class hoping to avoid his former friends but his mind wasn't in the right place. His mind was somewhere else... it was a new student, he wasn't bothered with her until she sent him a note after art class.
Jude got up from his desk and took his sketch pad and textbook. He was about to leave when the new girl left a note on his desk before leaving the classroom. He looked at it and it read:
Hey Jude, I saw your sketches when you left the class for that five minutes and I was wondering if you could sketch me if you have the time... I really wanted to have someone draw me since I was seven. So if you're interested we can meet up later.
The new girl, Paige.
Jude read the letter and he was confused. He couldn't do anything to get his mind off of it.
He opened the door and it was quiet. Weird, doesn't Mr. Green play the guitar before class? Jude thought. He stepped inside to see who everyone called the coolest teacher at the academy talking to the new girl. He knew her name was Paige thanks to the note, but what he wanted to know right now was she doing in his class.
"Jude, hey there you are!!" Byron called his student. "Hey mister Green." Jude silently greeted. "I heard you quit the band, is it true?" The question struck a nerve in the raven haired teen.
"What happened?" Byron asked seeing as he saw Jude cringe at the question. "It's personal... long story short, they did something that forced me to quit the band a quit being their friend."
"Look, you've been miserable for days so I'm giving you a special task that might bring back the Jude I know... I want you to stay with my niece Paige. She's extremely shy and she needs someone to help guide her around the school... Look at this, you both get to make a new friend and work on your problems together, a win-win situation." Byron explained to Jude.
Jude might have been hanging out with David and Lars but he still wasn't clicking with them. New person, maybe he could get a chance to be happy once more.
"Okay, I'll do it." Jude gave in and accepted after looking at the possibility of being happy once more.
"Hey Jude, I don't think we've officially met. We have art together, and right now as I can see we have music together too. Hi, I'm Paige, Paige Smith." Paige greeted.
Paige was a girl who had shoulder length blue hair. She had a slim figure and a smile that made Jude feel a bit vulnerable.
He looked at her before saying, "Hey Paige, I'm Jude... Jude Hathaway." Her eyes lit up after he said his name. "Are you the Jude Hathaway from that new band that I heard about from my uncle?"
"He's the very one... But as you just heard he's no longer part of his band."
"That's a shame because I heard that you were a great singer and I thought that maybe you could sing me a song." Paige said. That sentence and the note got her stuck in his head. He didn't know what happened. All he does know is that it felt weird.
"Okay you two, you can continue later, Jude I want you to take a seat in the front with Paige since I can see you won't be at your best with your former friends at the back."
"Thanks for that sir." Jude thanked his teacher before setting up shop right at the front, next to Paige.
