"A, you can't just ignore her forever." C stood with her arms crossed, standing next to her friend and looking down at her. "I know you don't want to see her, and I really don't mind you staying here, but you still can't just run away from your problems like this."
"Yes I can," Kokona argued, laying down on C's couch in the small apartment that she was renting, "Look, I'm doing it right now. I ran away from the problem named Mihara Arakida, and now I am peacefully far, far away from it." Kokona stared straight up at the ceiling above her, her head resting on her arms there were behind her neck. "I don't have to talk to her."
C rolled her eyes and shook her head, and sat on the edge of the couch besides Kokona's head. "A, you need to talk to her." She sternly said, speaking in a tone as though she was lecturing a small child. "Be the bigger person. She only wants to talk, can't you even attempt to work things out?"
"Oh, so when I wanted to talk to her for almost a decade, she doesn't reply. But the SECOND she wants to talk to me, I gotta answer immediately!!" Kokona exclaimed, sitting up straight and stubbornly standing her ground. "That is the opposite of fair!! And I am NOT, most certainly NOT going to listen to her make excuses." Her face was bright red with anger, and she looked as though steam would blow out of her ears if she was in a cartoon.
"I'm not saying she's right, but you do kinda have all your belongings still at that apartment." C pointed out, crossing one leg over the other as she spoke, trying to get more comfortable. Kokona glanced at her, and suspiciouly raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, so my stuff is the only reason you want me to talk to her?" She questioned, knowing it wasn't and that C was just trying to give more reasons for why she should talk to her. "There's no other reason I should go talk to her? Just that?"
"Well, no..."
"EXACTLY!"
"A listen to me!" C stood up and stared right at Kokona. "My mom died three years ago. I'd kill for another chance to talk to her! You lost your mom too, and now she's back. Can't you just be thankful for that?" Her words came out a shout, and she looked very distressed. Her eyes were pleading with Kokona's to give her mother one last chance.
"I didn't lose my mom C!" Kokona took a defensive stance, standing up as well.. "She LEFT me. That's not the same! She chose to. If she was forced to leave, yeah I would LOVE another chance to talk to her. But she chose this! She chose to leave me! Why should I give her another chance?" Kokona demanded, clearly upset at this entire situation. She didn't want to give Mihara another chance; she gave that up years ago. "If she truly wanted that chance then she wouldn't've ever given it up countless times in the first place."
C looked down, staring at the floor as she let breath escape her lips in a soft sigh. "A... please just try talking to her..." She pleaded, "If you won't do it for her, or for yourself, just try talking to her for me? Please."
Kokona hesitated, and she stared at C. She didn't want her upset, and didn't want her sad because she wouldn't go to speak to her mother. After a few moments of watching C's saddened and hopeful face, she gave in and finally sighed. "Fine..." She muttered extremely reluctantly. "I'll go..."

Approaching the door of her apartment, Kokona nervously bit the inside of her cheek. She didn't want to do this anymore than she had before C had convinced her, but she was still attempting to do it anyways, for C. She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. She held it for a moment and closed her eyes before she finally breathed out, and opened her eyes again. She stepped up to the door, and quickly flung it open.
