A phone call from R, telling her to turn on the news was all that it took. Kokona broke. She completely shut off, this time for real. She stared at the screen in front of her, watching the news reporter talk about the accident that had occurred only a few hours before. One dead, one injured, and one missing. Upon hearing the description of the mysterious man who had taken off once the paramedics had arrived, Kokona realized that it had been Daniel - C's friend who she had only met once before - who had taken C. The driver that had crashed into the two was now in the hospital, but was looking to recover soon.

But the young, blue haired girl who had been identified as Chiyoko Ichigawa... she was pronounced dead.

Kokona sat on the couch, her eyes not moving from the tv screen in front of her. She stared silently, not crying or sobbing, not yelling or screaming; but instead, just sat there motionless, silently watching the news story.

Once it was over, she still didn't move. She didn't shut off the tv, and didn't turn the volume down. Her mind didn't recognize what the story was telling her. She didn't realize that C was truly dead. She didn't hear those words. Or rather, she did hear them, but she wasn't listening and wasn't comprehending them. She didn't accept them as the truth and, instead, she pretended that they were all lies.

She finally stood up, and shut off the TV; her face expressionless and her mind numb. She then sat back down again, and stared at the now blank TV screen, completely shut down emotionally.

But she didn't have the chance to stay like that, because then, a knock was heard against the wood of the door. Before Kokona even had a chance to stand up, or call out an answer at all, the door was pushed open and an angry, small, blonde girl marched in.

"Are you Kokona?!?!" She demanded, her face red with anger as she glared harshly at the dark haired woman in front of her. Kokona stared at her blankly, standing up and turning to face her.

"Yeah, who are you?" Her voice came out monotonous, with a dull glaze covering her dark eyes; covering what used to show livelihood and spirit, but now showed nothing.

"So, you're the girl who is trying to steal MY  Light, aren't you??!" She  accused, pointing her finger at Kokona and growing more red with each passing second, "Back off!!!"

"What are you even talking about?"

"Oh, miss innocent now??" The blonde pressed her lips together and lowered her eyebrows, "Don't think I don't know how much you call MY fiance!! I know you're trying to steal him away from me!" She laughed, then returned her expression back to one of anger, "He's gonna marry me, Misa Amane, and you don't have a chance, so back off!"

Kokona stared at her, still in shock from the news story, and not even listening to what this girl was saying. She didn't even hear what she was saying, and the only thing that she knew was that this girl was in C's house and was angry.

"Get out." She spoke quietly, and her face remained expressionless.

"You're not the boss of me!!" Misa yelled, her face now as red as possible. She ran over to Kokona, and looked up at her. She clenched her jaw and stared fiercely at her and, despite being several inches shorter than her, attempted to look as intimidating as possible. "You know, if I wanted to, I could kill you easily." She threatened, her eyes glowing.

As a response, Kokona clenched her fist and punched her in the face as hard as she could.

"Get out." Kokona repeated, staring blankly at Misa, who had fallen to the floor and was covering her now bleeding nose with one hand. Kokona lowered her fist, and didn't move her gaze away from the blonde.
