Narrator's POV
Your coughed up more petals as you sat up on your bed. It's one-sided love. The hanahaki disease made you cough up petals of flowers due to the person you like doesn't like you back. Days passed, and your doctor recommended you to surgically remove the petals before it occupied your lungs & die. But, you don't want to.
You knew that he loves someone else, but your feelings for him won't disappear.
"Shit. It's not petals anymore." You murmured as you looked on your hand with full flowers. Not petals. It's getting worse as time passed by. You told your doctor about it, but you still refuse to remove the flowers occupying your lungs.
"Have you heard the most popular couple here in college?" Angela asked you with a smile, "Yeah, why?" You replied, "They broke up! Because he caught Erika with someone else!" The news shocked most students all around the campus. The situation was Erika was sleeping with other boys during her relationship, which was disloyal. However, Erika was one's men charm. This ruined her life, but that what she deserved. But then again, he might like somebody else.
Before he was able to confess your feelings, you passed away due the the flowers taking over your feeble lungs. The news was spreading like wildfire, "What's the disease?" He asked with sorrow to you best friend, "It's the hanahaki disease. It's when a person experienced one-sided love. The main sign was the person coughing out petals." She explained, "Since (Y/n) passes away, that's because more flowers increased in her lungs." She added & sighed, "It's all my fault." He murmured as he let more thoughts enter his mind, "I should have gave her something." He sadly added as she felt more guilt in her.
