Narrator's POV

"An invitation? From whom?" You asked one of your trusted maids who was holding a tray with a black envelope on top, "From The D--- himself, (Y/n)." She replied with deep honor, "Maybe a meeting? It's been a long time since we see each other." You muttered under your chilly breath as you took the envelope & started to unfolded it, "Pardon me, (Y/n) but when was the last time you have met him?" The maid asked with curiosity, "Hm, I think it was before I turned 10 & turned 8." You replied as your thoughts began to play into memories being with him, "We were separated by our parents to train us." You added with chuckle. It read:

Dear (Y/n),

Yer invited to my grand party, and I know ya into those social events, but hear me out: this can be our reunion! It's been years since we have seen each other eye to eye.

Also, since yer a single goddess, there may be a big chance you'll meet th' lucky lad! I'm just jokkin'! If ya want that, I ain't gonna force ya!

"Haha, those hugs & kisses are supposed to be friendly ones, not the romantic ones." You chuckled to yourself with a grin, "Welp, I better prepared myself." You sat up from your dark throne & walked to the elevator as the maid watched you. Before we go further to the story, let's know more about you. You're the descendant of the God of the Underworld, and being one wasn't that bad, except everything is gloomy. Since you're leaning on the optimistic side, you decorated your world with florals & crystals. Everyone admired yet wondered why would you do that. Anyways, you have been friends with The Devil for years since when both of you were really young. One good fact about you & your family tree were required/destined to rule over the monarchs of both the underworld & hell. Therefore, you & the other rulers got along. Since you were ahead of them aka you live in the present, hence being called, "Hades from the Future." by most of your friends. Not weird, but quite accurate.

"Hmm, no. Not that." You muttered as you swipe the outfit. After a while, you finally chose the best outfit: A modernized greek clothing to represent yourself as the goddess, "Alright, since he forgot to indicate the specific time, I guess I can go there any minute." You shrugged to yourself, as you started to wear your socks & then your black shoes, "Welp, here I go to socialize, again." You sighed to yourself as you went to the elevator. Pushing the button that leads up, your mind were suddenly filled with thoughts of anxiety, "Calm down, (Y/n). Dev will company you!" You pounded in your anxious mind.

"(Y/n)!" A familiar voice called your name in the distance, "Dev?" You turned to that direction, only to see your childhood friend running towards you, "Hey! Dev-OOF!" you exclaimed when he suddenly hugged you tightly, "It's been so fucking long, (Y/n)!" His exclaimed was muffled due to his face digging on your clothing, "Hey my dude, no worries. I'm still alive & dead." You joked on him, which he let out a hyena-like laugh, "Aww, yer jokes made me still laugh." He replied between laughs, "Also, meet the crew!" Oh dear. Your chest began to ache a bit. Time to socialize! As he continued to introduce the fam, he noticed that one of them was missing, "Wait, where's my lackey?" "Lackey?" You asked with curiosity. Since you lived in the future, those words were barely spoken, "My right hand man. He's supposed to be here." He wondered as he explained to you. The others wondered as well, "Hey, um. Who's that?" You pointed at the lavender dapper man with a tailcoat as his coat, talking to other patrons, "Hey, Dice!" He called out. Dice? A weird yet nice name, "Yes, boss?" "We have a visitor, and I would like to introduce her to you!" He then excused himself & walked in a seemingly flamboyant manner which made you a bit hypnotized, "Meet (Y/n), the future goddess of the underworld." "Actually, I'm already." You smiled in a goofy man at him due to your shyness increasing rapidly, "And Meet KD, the manager of this casino, and my lackey." You were red as a strawberry when you were in front of that man. He looked handsome, charming & gorgeous. You can't control your smile, "What's with that face, goddess? Saw something or someone you like?" You shook your head & giggled by his words, "She would smile whenever she's shy, cause she ain't into parties." You heard your friend whispering to his trusted boi.

"You're a greek goddess, right?" One of the ladies with a lovely Russian accent asked you politely, "Yes, why?" You responded sheepishly as your face was still red, "Is it lonely in there?" Another lady asked, called by the name Martini in a slightly drunken manner. No need to guess why was her name like that, "N-not really because I have my good servants." You responded with a smile, "I heard that you have a dog with three heads. Do you have?" The man named Mr. --- asked as he took a puff of smoke again, "Yes I do, and he's a dog sized dog. Not a huge one." You replied to them as you wore a sheepish smile, "And what's the color of your world? Is it black?" Pip asked & then Dot added, "Or perhaps it's blue with treasures?" Wow, they really wanted to know more about you, "Well," A masculine voice started, "She did decorated her world with flowers & crystals, and it's mixture of black, shades of blue & silver." How did he know? "He's correct." "Boss, how did ya know bout her?" Dot asked as you felt even shyer, "Read those books bout her life & those mythology in my free time." The dapper replied in a slight dreamy manner.

"Really! What kind of crystals? Those are like diamonds?" Pip asked with excitement, "Yeah, you could say that." You replied with a small giggle & the others chuckled as well. This will be a long night or socializing, including that dapper.

"You're such full of surprises, (y/n)." KD murmured as he played your hair for a bit as you felt more shy, "Such wonderful surprises, especially from the goddess herself." He purred as he went closer to you, "Well, uh, I like your eyes." You don't know how to flirt because you don't socialize, "Tryin to flirt, huh?" He teased you with a small grin, "Oh, I know it's bad flirt, but I really love the shade of it." You explained to him as you looked down. Then again, he went closer to you, "May I," He started as he caressed your flustered cheek as you wore a goofy smile, "Feel your lips?" You have visited the casino frequently in your past time not just to play games but also to meet your new frens(including your old fren of course). You felt you have affectionate feelings for the manager, but you knew he has been to other relationships, which made you kind of sick, "Sure." You replied, faking your disappointment towards him. You just don't like his actions. Oh, it felt nice, for this was your first kiss from a lovely lad.

"You don't know that feeling, that feeling of not being chosen."
"And also knowing that they only love you out of fucking pity! Knowing that you're nothing to them but only a fucking doll towards them!"
"If you hurt the feelings of a god, they will either curse you or kill you in the scariest way possible! But me, I don't! Because I know that I'll be used!"
"I have been lonely until Dev came to my life, but now, hah! I have to find a soulmate because I'm such a fucking piece of shit."
"I know this will happen. I know this will happen. I KNOW THIS WILL HAPPEN!"
"Now, I always blame myself for attracting myself towards you, Dice. For I know that I will be lonely in the end. Just like planet Pluto!"
