Chapter 14

Chanel's POV

We went back to the hotel to get our stuff and then we were off to the jet. Rachel's face was too funny when she noticed we weren't going to the airport but to "clear port".

We got on the plane and it took a little over an hour to get back but it wasn't that bad. We drove to the penthouse and dropped our stuff off.

After me and Rachel put our stuff up I saw my grandma in the living room with Blue watching TV.

"Hi, grandma." I said walking over to her with Rachel in tow.

"Hi, baby." she said. "Who's this?"

"Oh, grandma this my best friend Rachel, Rachel this is my grandma." I said.

"It's nice to meet you Rachel, it seems if you're close with Chanel you're family so you can call me mama T." she said.

"Okay, nice to meet you mama T." Rachel said.

"So grandma, where we going for dinner?" I asked as I sat next to her.

"I don't know." she said. "But somebody told me you got suspended."

"Grandma, I didn't get suspended." I said. "It was in-school."

"Same difference." she said. "Did you apologize?"

"To who?" I asked.

"The girl you hit." she said.

"Nope, she deserved it." I said "Rachel was there."

My grandmother looked at Rachel.

"Whoa, back up. I was at a table ten feet from you." Rachel said. "I wasn't standing next to her."

"Same difference." I said.

"Well no more fighting." my grandma said.

"People like to provoke me." I said.

"Well I'm gonna be provoked to do something if you get suspended again." she said.

Me and Rachel just laughed.

"That goes for you too Ms. Rachel." she said.

"That won't be necessary. I'm the good one." she said.

"What she means is she's the good one now." I said.

"Shut up! I took the high road." she said laughing.

"Yeah, maybe you should take the high road too." my grandmother said looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm thinking about it." I said smiling.

"My baby." I heard my mom say.

"Mom, I'm right here." I said.

"Trust me Chanel, she not talking about you." my dad said.

And dammit he was right. She went straight over to Blue, even though she was asleep.

"Ma, she's sleep." I said.

"So I haven't seen her in a week." she said lifting her up.

"So Chanel, what do you want for graduation?" my dad asked.

"Uhm, I don't know." I said. "How about a vacation. I haven't really been anywhere."

"Where you want to go?" he asked.

"I can go anywhere?" I asked

"Yep! Where ever." he said.

I started looking around and thinking. Everybody was looking at me.
