Chanel's POV

"Grandma, I'm back." I yelled.

I walked further in and she was just sitting on the couch. I mean no TV on or anything, it's like she was waiting for me.

"Come take a seat." She said and patted the spot next to her.

I walked over their a little nervous because I don't know what she was going to do. I sat next to her and she just looked at me. I didn't really know what to say.

"So what's up with you?" She asked.

Okay, that's weird.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"The attitude with your mom, the fighting in school. Didn't you promise to change?" She asked me.

"I mean yeah but it's just harder than I thought. I mean it's just hard to adjust." I said.

"How is it hard to adjust to rules?" She asked.

"I really never had any." I said.

"So my sister never gave you rules?" She asked.

"They weren't enforced." I said.

"So you did as you pleased?" I asked.

"Just about." I said. "I've never really had parents before so the rules and not getting what I want is new to me."

"Okay I understand the rules but what about the attitude?" She said.

I turned my head because I really don't have a reason to be acting the way I was. She turned my head back to her and I just looked down.

"Exactly, you have no reason to treat or talk to her the way you have been." She said.

I know she's right and I owe my mom and dad a big apology.

"So how did all this fighting start?" She asked me.

I looked down at my hands before I spoke.

"I was in the third grade and girls would be mean to me for no reason. One day I got fed up with them picking on me and while we were playing kickball in PE one of the girls were rolling the ball so instead of kicking the ball I threw my shoe and it hit her." I said.

"So how did you feel after that?"

She asked.

"To be honest good, it felt like a relief." I said.

"Did they still pick on you?" She asked.
