Shawn's POV
It was around six in the morning and the sun was coming up. I went in the room to wake Chanel. I got her up and told her to get dressed while I waited in the living room. I left a note for Bey so she wouldn't be worried. Chanel came out dressed.
"Okay, let’s go." I said.
"Where we going?" She asked.
"You trust me?" I asked as I held out my hand.
She grabbed it and we walked out the room. We went downstairs with my bodyguard of course and we took a ride to Bourbon street. We got out and began to walk. Not many people out this early because they just went to sleep. We walked in silence for a while.
"Daddy." I heard Chanel say.
"Yeah." I answered.
"Are you mad at me too?" She asked.
"Yesterday I was then I was disappointed because you know better." I said.
"I know and I'm sorry but I was so mad." She said. "How do you read those mean things about mommy and just let it go?"
"Sometimes are harder than others but I have to remember there lies." I told her. "You have a lot of bottled up anger."
"I know." She said.
"But why?" I asked.
She stopped walking and then I did. We just looked at each other.
"Daddy we're in the same boat." She said. "I don't like talking about it anymore but I was abandoned as a kid. How can I not have anger in me."
I took her over to a bench so we could sit down.
"I know how you feel, I really do but all that anger is gonna get you into trouble." I said. "I got in trouble and you’re going the same way if you don't change."
"I know." She said looking down.
"We need to find an outlet for you." I said. "You like boxing?"
"You mean like Ali?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"I guess, but I thought y'all didn't want me to fight." She said.
"In the gym is different." I said.
She started nodding her head.
"You’re not allowed on social sites anymore." I said.
"I know, mommy broke my phone." She said.
"How she do that?" I asked.
"She threw it against the wall." She said.
Damn, I'm upset about that. It was hard getting four iPhone 5's as soon as they came out.
