Calum's POV
I wish I could say that meeting Jesse or whatever his name is, was nice because it was my friend's friend. But that isn't the case. The case is that meeting Jesse was a mistake. I feel like I could never be compared with Jesse. He's definitely more fit than me in every way possible. I'm not an emotional person, but I feel like crying while watching Rom-coms and eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's.

Calum's POV
Izzy and Jersey are still in the living room so I took a bold move and decided to leave the hotel by myself. I needed to get out. I needed to find something to occupy myself. I walked right past Izzy and jersey. I'm positive they didn't notice me leave until I slammed the door shut.
Once outside, I walked down to the local Chinese food restaurant. After receiving my chow fun and pork dumplings, I began heading back even though I hadn't done as much as I had planned. I must've tripped on something planted in the sidewalk because somehow I ended up on the ground with my foot bent in an unnatural way.
I saw feet coming closer to me. The pain in my foot was so horrendous that I didn't have the power to look up and see who it was.
"Do you need help? I saw you fall and I wanted to make sure you were alright?" I heard a voice ask.
"I'm not okay. I am most definitely not okay." I was somehow able to say.
"Hold on. Hold on. I'll call someone." They tell me. "Hi, yes. I'm with this guy who's harmed his ankle. I saw him trip over a piece of metal sticking out of the sidewalk. Could you send an ambulance? I don't think he can walk." She explained through the phone. She bent down to face me.
"They're coming to get you, okay? I won't leave your side until I know you're okay." I glanced up to see dazzling green eyes and black hair staring at me. "What's your name?" She continued conversation since I hadn't answered her last question.
"C-Calum."
"Calum what?"
"Hood." My face twisted in pain as the feeling in my ankle grew stronger.
"It's nice to meet you, Calum. I'm Lacey Larson." I nodded showing her that I heard her but could not talk because of the pain surging up through my thigh. "Let's get you off the side of the road. Okay?" I nodded once again as she lifted me up from my back and helped me to lean against a nearby building.
The obnoxious sound of an ambulance came blasting from the street. I was beginning to zone out as I saw the blood dripping down my leg. I felt myself being lifted and placed onto a gurney.
"Are you with him?" I heard a male voice ask."Uh... Sure." All sound was becoming faint and I drifted off. I couldn't stand the affliction in my ankle anymore.

I woke up in a hospital room. Thankfully, I wasn't hooked up to any wires. I felt a rush of discomfort go through my leg. I peaked down and saw my leg in a cast.
"You're awake." I immediately turned my head to the side to see a familiar face.
"You're the girl who called an ambulance for me."
"Yes, I'm the girl."
"Thank you so much." I said appreciatively. I carefully studied her face. I remembered her sparkling green eyes and her curly black hair. Her eyelashes are long and her lips aren't too thin or thick. She may not have perfect skin, but she's beautiful anyway.
"Calum?"
"Huh?" Had she been talking to me?
"I asked you a question. Are you okay? You seem distracted." She claimed.
