Chapter ninteen

Your pov

All classes get ready to start this obstacle race. I squat down and make my wings appear.

"WOAH (N/N)!!! Did you always have those?!" Kirishima asks.

"Nope" I say before hearing the siren to start.

I teleport passed this opening and began flying as fast as I could. I hear ice being formed behind me. I see ice appear on the ground below me. I don't waste my flight ability so I just warm up my feet. I have them hot enough to melt the ice underneath me.

I stepped on the ground and the ice melted under my foot everytime I stepped. I kept running as fast as I could. I heard explosions behind me.

'There he is'

I skid to a stop due to the giant robot that walked in front of me. I spread my wings and fly over all of the bots. I land and continue running. I hear the ground shake and then dust covers my vision for a second. I look behind me and notice Todoroki and Bakugou catching up.

I squeal and continue to run but a little faster. I run up the steps and see ropes connecting different pieces of land.

"Oh fuck that" I say before flying over the ropes and land.

I look down and see Todoroki and Bakugou flying over the things too. I smirk and land at the end. My breath suddenly hitches as I read the giant sign.

'BEWARE MINES'

I look behind me and see the boys slowly catching up. I better hurry if I want to win. I quickly speed walk around the mines. I avoid every mine and move quickly.

"AND (L/N) CONTINUES TO TAKE THE LEAD WHILE MAKING HER WAY THROUGH THE MINE FIELD!!" I hear Present Mic yell.

I smile before I hear explosions. I suddenly see an angry hedgehog pass me. Suddenly my world moves in slow motion. He smirks over at me and winks. My face goes red and I smirk.

I use my fire to blast me forward. I see Todoroki pass me and run next to Bakugou. They begin to fight and that caught me off gaurd because they are right in front of me so I almost fall on a mine. Suddenly I hear a loud explosion behind me. The three of us turn around and see a large pink cloud. I notice someone fly out of it.

"Is that.. Midoriya?!" I ask in shock and confusion.

He flies in over us so we began chasing him. We all make it to a point where we were tied. I noticed that Midoriya was about to land terribly. However, he places his feet on Bakugou and Todoroki's backs and uses his piece of metal to slam on the mines launching him forward. It scares me causing me to step back and onto a mine. It launches me forward and I stumble in front of the two boys with Midoriya in front of me.

I run at full speed and made it through this tunnel. I hear cheering at the end of the tunnel and I run past the finish line and onto the field.

"The first student to make it back is... Izuku Midoriya!!" Present Mic yells while confetti flies everywhere and horns began blaring in victory.

"Not too far behind him in second place is (Y/N) (L/N)!!!" He yells again.

I slow down and make my wings disappear. I rest my hands on my knees and bend over while panting. The confetti flies everywhere and I look up at the cheering crowd. This is actually.. SUPER AWESOME!!

I stand up straight and grin. We all meet up near Midnight again. She explains our next battle. It's a cavalry battle so we have to team up in fours. We are given 15 minutes to pick our teams. I turn around and see a lot of people surround me and Bakugou separately.

"(L/N)!! Be on my team!"

"We could work great together!!"

"(L/N) I'll gladly carry you"

I blush in embarrassment and begin to feel isolated surrounded by people. I hold my hands out in fear. Suddenly I feel a strong sweaty hand grip mine.

I am pulled through the crowd and pulled up against a body. I look up and see an angry blonde glaring at the others surrounding me.

"She's on my team so you all can back off" he spits out in anger.

I sigh in relief as we back away from the crowd and we pick out Kirishima and Sero.

"I want to be the rider!!" Bakugou yells.

"Hmm. Shouldn't (N/N) be on top? She's lightest" I hear Kirishima yell.

The three of them stare at me, sweat drips down my face.

"I'll be the rider if that would be best!" I say quickly while scratching the back of my neck.

We all agree and wait for the timer to end.

"Hey Kirishima. I heard someone call Bakugou a 'sludge boy'? What is that all about??" I ask.

"Oh! You didn't hear? Bakugou was almost killed from a sludge villain. He was being suffocated and forced to use his quirk. Just talking about it makes me scared" Kirishima explains.

I look over at Bakugou and see him glaring at the other teams. I take a deep breath and then clench my fists. I have to win this.
