Time Skip >> (An Hour Or So) Your POV

"What the hell, Y/n?" Finn yelled as we entered our room.

"What?!" I hissed.

"You beat the shit out of Iris and almost got thrown into the box!" He answered.

"Well, I wouldn't have had to if you'd stopped her."

"She didn't do anything wrong!" Finn replied. "She just sat down by me."

"How oblivious are you?" I scoffed. "Okay, Finn, say that I'd been sitting next to Wyatt. How would you feel I just ran my hand up his thigh?!"

"Not the same." He growled.

"How?!" I spat. "We're together!"

"No, Y/n, we're not!" Finn yelled, pressing my body against the wall. "You're mine... I'm not yours."

"You're sick," I whispered. All he did was chuckle bitterly.

"Tell me something I don't know, Darlin'." I pushed his body away.

"I didn't agree to be your fucking toy, Finn," I replied. "So grow the fuck up and act your goddamn age," I said.

"Says the girl who got into a fistfight over a boy." He smirked.

"Fuck you." I hissed before leaving our room, slamming the door behind me.

Time Skip >> (Week And A Half)

It'd been a few days since the lockdown that Emaline had caused. I'd refused to spend any time with Finn after the incident in our room. I'd chosen to avoid him as the alternative to speaking to him.

At meals, I sat with Gaten and Emaline while he sat with his groupies. During our recreation time, I either went to the gym and watched others mess around or hid in the bathroom until it was over. When it was bedtime I entered our room completely silent and when he spoke to me I simply ignored him and lied in bed. That was my schedule and how I ended up here I had no idea.

"You've gotta inhale it and hold your breath." Emaline instructed. "I can't believe you've never smoked weed." She chuckled. "The queen of cigarettes, who woulda thought?"

"My dad smoked a lot of cigarettes. They were available to me. Weed wasn't." I chuckled back.

"Whatever, you loser." She smiled. "Just take a hit." I did as I was told while she lit the weed in my pipe. I held my breath for a few seconds before blowing it out.

"Don't hold it for five seconds and then blow it randomly." Emaline laughed. "If you're gonna waste a good hit then blow it at me so at least one of us get high."

"Let me try again." I laughed, placing the pipe between my lips again.

She lit it again as I took a deep inhale. I held it for a bit longer than the last time before blowing it out.

"Oh my God, Y/n." She laughed again, grabbing my jaw and shotgunning the smoke that I exhaled. Nearly brushing her lips against mine. She pulled back abruptly. "... Sorry." I smiled and laughed it off.

"Your turn." I chuckled. She nodded and took a hit from the pipe. She held her breath much longer than I'd held mine.

As she exhaled I quickly pressed my lips to hers and she gently reciprocated the kiss. Her lips were soft, they tasted like watermelon and smoke. We stayed like that for a few minutes before carefully pulling apart.

"Shit— I'm sorry," I whispered, shaking my head embarrassed.

"For what?" Emaline asked.

"For kissing you. That was so fucking idiotic of me. I-I'm not even gay." I responded. She started to giggle. Why was she laughing at me?

"You're cute, you know that?" Emaline smiled.

"I'm sorry?" She brushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

"You seemed like you needed that a little too much for a girl who isn't gay." She replied.

"It's just— Finn, the guy I'm with..." I replied. Bad choice of words, I thought. "Not even really with." I stammered, "He has a moronic claim to me and refuses to call me his girlfriend and..."

"And what?" She asked.

"I don't know, I just really needed a kiss," I muttered.

"I get it." Emaline smiled.

"You do?"

"You crave human contact, I mean, how could you not in a place like this? And Finn's the one giving it to you. It makes sense that you miss it." She replied, "But... I don't think he could be doing such a good job if you're here. Kissing me."

"He saved my life..." I said.

"So?" Emaline replied, gently running her cold fingers against my neck. "You don't owe him anything, Sweetie." She whispered, her words sending a shiver ran down my spine.

"I'm still not gay..." I muttered. "I just—"

"You just needed a kiss." She smiled, pulling her hand away and standing up. "I understand." She offered me a hand. I gladly took it and stood up.

We stayed silent for a few moments before she'd picked up her lighter and pipe, sliding them into the waistband of her uniform pants.

"Emaline," I muttered.

"Yeah?"

"If I was... You know. Would you wanna date me?" She chuckled.

"Yes. But I'd wanna date you even if you're straight because well... You're the kinda girl that makes even other girls catch feelings." I laughed softly. She turned away, heading for the door.

"Hey, Em?"

"Yes, Y/n." She groaned playfully, turning around as I smashed my lips against her. This time kissing her much rougher and needier. When we pulled away we kept our foreheads pressed together, taking in deep breaths.

"I think I need a little more than just a kiss," I whispered. She smiled before pressing her lips to mine again.
