Chapter 12

The day arrived where we will step inside skylar city and go to war. Never have I imagined to walk in the lands of my enemy and work with them, fighting side by side into war. I look at myself in the mirror and buckled the royal seal. I wore a turtle neck black suit which hugged my slender body like a second skin and wore gloves. I retouched my war paint which emphasizes my deep green eyes. I fasten my double blades at my back and attached the daggers on my belt and shoes. Soft hands caressed my hips and I look at the mirror and saw Costia looking at me. "Please be safe" she said as she hug me from the back and kissed my cheeks. I held her hands encircling my hips and caressed it. "I will.. do not worry" I said while looking at her reflection in the mirror. She let out a heavy sigh and let go of me. I could see the sadness in her eyes as I turned around and look at her directly. "Please come back to me.. okay?" She said. And I just nod and walk away.

As I walk towards the field I saw my men ready for war, Emily is already on her dragon, Lady Allison is already levitating showing her power, Lady Raven was now shifted into a large deadly hawk and Lady Octavia was now harnessing metals. I nod at Indra as I passed through her which she immediately respond by bowing her head as well as the warriors around. I called Heda my dragon which he responded with a powerful roar. And I shouted "TO VICTORY!!!" And then my people roar their battle cry.

I feel my blood rushing through my veins and the excitement. Killing those insects is the only way I could repay the sky princess. She did not only protected her people but also protected mine which she earned my full respect and loyalty. 

As we reached the tower I jumped off heda same as Emily. The guards in charge bowed their heads as we pass through. We stopped just beside the opening of the portal, I look at Emily and nod. "Alright! This is it warriors! This is the opportunity for you to avenge and protect our people and the sky people. As we entered the portal and by the end of this war, we will still stand and treat the surviving sky people as allies. NOW TO WAR!!!" I shouted. Which lift the spirits of my people. We entered the portal with our planned formation. The sky people is ahead of us while me and Emily is watching their back and surveying the surroundings. I noticed burned trees around, buildings that is covered with ashes and the once white buildings are now black and gray with broken glasses, the once magnificent city is now lifeless. We heard screeching which made me and my warriors in fighting stance then we saw at front a creature that we didn't recognize but she was once human that I noticed. We held our place and studied the creature. Lady Allison levitated and moved silently towards the creature. She signaled us to stay and keep silent. She moved her right hand towards the creature's head and blast it with her force field which made the head of the creature explode. Everyone look at her with shock looks. She levitated higher and scanned the surroundings. She signaled Lady Raven to shift which she complied immediately and quietly. She flap her wings and soared on the sky. Lady Allison moved towards us and smoothly landed on the ground she signaled us that it's clear to move forward. My warriors and I were trained to walk with light feet to sneek up easily with our enemies which made this earier for us. We pass through a bridge and another set of buildings, houses and trees. We walked silently until we reached a melted gate but with distinct royal seal. As we enter we were greeted with a once magnificent castle but was now abandoned and with burned marks some part of it was destroyed. As we entered the castle I command my men to split up and search the vicinity if its clear with reapers then everyone moved and responded immediately. Everything was burned and no object survived from the explosion the princess created. I can't help feeling proud for what she did, she is indeed powerful but sadness envelope again in my heart thinking that she is already dead. My men signal ed clear and we continued moving south. We passed the castle and went inside the royal garden. Lady Raven was already ahead of us sighting from above. We continued walking and running silently until we reached at the south forest. Lady Alison and Lady Octavia came to a stop and signalled us to remain in our position. Lady Raven came back and shifted again while landing smoothly on the ground. She signalled us that there are atleast 20 reapers ahead. I signalled my men to split up. We need a diversion, we need to lure the reapers at the wrong side in order for us to pass through. I signalled Indra to create a diversion with Lady Octavia with her and Lady Raven while the rest of us hide at the top of the trees. Lady Raven let out a loud screeching sound that made the reapers leap to their direction. That is our cue to move in the opposite direction. As we run towards the reapers portal Lady Allison made a protective shield enveloping our pack. Emily stepped in front of me and made a protective stance. We stopped at the entrance of the Reapers portal. This is it, we have 30 mins to look for the sky princess.
