Chapter 55

Clark

I immediately ran towards the comfort room when I was already out of sight to everyone. I inhaled deep breaths trying to control my beating heart. I look at my reflection and saw those familiar features except  for those dull blue eyes staring at me. I noticed my hands are shaking and immediately wash them on the faucet like it would help them stop from moving. I leaned on the cold tiled lavatory and tried to gather myself. I tried to avoid closing my eyes in order to suppress those unwanted memories. I wanted to remember but at the same time forget..

Titus

"sky princess.. Are you lost?" i asked the princess for she seemed daze just standing outside the double doors of the Queen's lounge. She flinch at my voice and that confirms she didn't sense my presence which is unusual for a sky person. "That room is off limits. You should go back to the ballroom." i said."Oh I'm sorry Titus this castle is indeed confusing, all the doors seemed look a like" she responded with a giggle. I just nod "Then I will lead you back come follow me your highness" i said while slightly bowing. She moved towards me and said "stop with the formalities Titus I'm not a princess anymore.. I'm just one of the Queen's subject now. You can call me Clark" then smiled. "Alright Clark come this way." i said while turning towards the west wing. "okay.." i heard her whispered an answer. I slightly turned to her and caught her still looking at the Queen's lounge door while moving towards my direction. Hmm.. She seemed odd. So odd.

Clark

Titus left me on the doorway of the ballroom. I slowly opened it and stopped at my tracks as I saw the Queen and her wife Costia dance at the center of the room. People are gaping at them as they sway in the music. Costia looked so happy as she smiled sweetly at the Queen and the Queen.. Words are not enough to describe her.. She's beyond perfect. I could hear people whispering how amazing they look together, that they seemed a perfect couple.. A dream couple in the kingdom both strong and beautiful at the same time. I involuntarily held my heart and clenched my hand..

Zara

I scanned the room and saw the princess in the doorway I was about to tell the others when I saw the expression she was making.. It seems she was deeply hurt. She held her chest and clenched her heart i followed her gaze and saw the Queen and her wife dancing.. Happily..could it be our princess is in love with the grounder Queen? I look at the Queen's wife she's.. Beautiful in her own way but not as beautiful and gorgeous as our princess that i could really testify. I felt bad for our princess for she just helplessly look at this eye sore scene.

Nyoko

I was bored to death. I almost rolled my eyes seeing Lexa trying so hard to act like they're a perfect couple. Well whatever I'll just drink through out the night. The grounders presented the traditional dance to the Queen raising our culture and at the same time introduce it to the new members of our family. The sky people. Everybody was hype and felt in festive mood. Then my drank self did something really courageous. I staggardly walked towards the mic and grab it on the master of ceremonies hand. I cleared my throat and didn't give a damn to their shock faces. "good evening everyone.." the music mellowed down till it stopped making my voice reigned in the night. I saw the Queen scrunched her brows confused of my behaviour but what the hell i only got drunk once in a blue moon so why not make the most of it. I smiled and continued" since we already presented our culture to the Queen.. Is it time for us to welcome also the culture of the sky people?" i said while turning to the sky people who are uneasy in their seats." well.. I'm just curious to what they practice before.. "i continued while hesitantly smiled. I heard a laugh and immediately turned towards it and my mood change as I saw that person behind it." God Nyoko how many glass or rather bottles of wine did you drink to get drunk like that?"Costia said and laugh again which made me smirked. One too can play the game." actually your highness i didn't track how many I just knew what my heart wants and that is to see them perform.. "i said while slightly turning my head to the direction of the sky people then smiled." Well I too want to see their culture and our differences.. "Council luna said with bored face while drinking her wine. Evident shock is written all over Costia's face for even a council supported my idea. I smirked." but-"" Costia dear.. " the Queen spoke with gritted teeth. If only the people could see upclose that even if her voice is soft  and with endearment her eyes says it all.. I felt sorry for the Queen." Give the people what they want.. And besides Titus is right we kept in showing them our culture without letting them introduce theirs purely... Without combining our culture." the Queen continued. The people murmured in agreement and nodding at the same time. I smiled then look at the sky princess. She gave me that seriously face. My smile widen then she rolled her eyes. " sky princess? "i asked." Well.. If its okay why not.. "she said." Yes!!! Take the floor! "i said excitedly. The people even the councils laughed how enthusiastic I was but I don't care. I want the sky princess to break down our Queen's wall again like what it used to be.
