The Adventure

Chapter 7

(Ryans p.o.v.)

As I was walking beside Alexs' horse I could feel the dirt betwen my paws and I could smell the beautiful aroma of lilys and tulips, I looked up at him as he was listening to the cardinals sing and chirp then a smile began to form on his face. He looked so happy in that moment so at peace, he almost looked fragile like an old china set. I then decided that I would be damned if I let anything hurt that beautiful angel.

~Flashback to when they were kids~

(Ryans p.o.v.)

I held onto Alexs' hand and giggled"Come on, we have to hurry!" I pulled him to a large oak tree and we both began to climb to one of the top branches of the tree. Once we sat down we both smiled then we watched the sun start to rise. Well.....he started to watch the sun rise, I couldn't stop watching how the sun created beautiful orange streaks in his hair, a few tufts of his hair fell in his now closed eyes as he sat in the sun. It was making him seem as if he was tan instead of ghostly pale like normal,"Thank you Ohmie, it is truely beautiful here." I blushed lightly and said "Your welcome Alex", then we both watched the sunset.

~End of flashback~

(Still Ryans p.o.v.)

As we approached Albatross forest I could smell the faint scent of a draconian soldier then I scanned the edge of the forest to make sure it was safe, after I saw no other evidence that a soldier was near-by I shifted back into my human form and helped Alex off his horse then he thanked me and sighed,"We should try and be quiet, we don't know how many there will be and I think the element of surprise would be an amazing advantage for us to have. Hopefully we can catch one on his own that would make this a hell of a lot easier." I chuckled and waited for him to grab the vials we would be needing to carry the blood. After he grabbed them from one of the pouches from his horses saddle he nodded to signal that he was ready, I moved my dagger in front of my  shirt just in case I needed to have quick access to it then we started walking into the forest. We were about 20 yards in when I heard a twig snap from 10 yards away then I grabbed Alexs' arm pulled him into a crouch then we moved into a bush that was beside us"I heard a twig snap from about 10 feet away-" I took in a deep breath,"-I can smell him. It's just the one and he's almost here, maybe 4 yards away", after I explained everything to him we sat in silence and waited for the soldier to move past us. After he had his back turned to us I slowly moved out from the bush and came up behind him then I grabbed him by the throat and started to strangle him, as I was doing this he grabbed my dagger from my belt and stabbed my right thigh. I screamed and grabbed onto my thigh then he kicked me in the stomach and that sent me to the ground. Alex ran up behind him and jumped onto his back then stabbed him in the throat and filled the vials with the soldiers blood then came over to me and wrapped my arm around his neck and his arm around my waist then I grabbed his dagger from the mans neck and we hurried back to his horse.

(Alex p.o.v.)

As we were running back to my horse I put the vials in one of the pouches that were attached to my belt, then I helped him on my horse and I climbed on after him and he wrapped his arms around my waist,"I'm sorry but I'll have to wait to heal you, we need to get away from here so no one will know that we killed him ok?", he groaned then mumbled an ok and with that we were racing to get back home.

Once we arrived I yelled for Cas to come get Lee then I took Ryan to my bedroom and layed him on the bed and stuffed a pillow under his thigh. I grabbed bandages then looked at him,"This is going to hurt a bit but not for very long. I'm sorry-", then I grabbed the dagger and pulled it out of his leg and as soon as I did it started gushing blood then i placed the bandages over it and started to concentrate on healing his leg. After I was done I looked at him and saw that he had been biting his knuckles and he broke the skin, i held onto his hand and gently kissed it then it healed and he mumbled a thank you"-I'm so sorry Ryan. Would you like some tea? Or coffee? Or anything?"

He smiled when I said tea so I took that as a yes, then I went to the kitchen and put some water on to boil. As I was waiting for the familiar screeching sound I grabbed a couple tea bags and some cups then got everything ready and fixed up everyones tea, Lydia and Cas absolutely loved tea so I made there favorites then walked to there room and knocked softly. Cas opened the door then I handed her the cups and smiled"Thank you for helping me with Lee. Ryan was hurt and I needed to heal him, don't worry he'll be better soon." She smiled and then nodded, I went back to my room where I saw a tired looking  Ryan then handed him his tea, he smiled gratefully and began drinking it. I stayed with him until he finished it then I grabbed the cup and stood up"I'm going to go and let you rest now ok Ohmie?", then I started to walk towards the door. He grabbed my hand and pulled lightly.

"Please Alex......don't leave. I don't want you to leave" when I turned to look at him he stuck out his bottom lip and made a pouty face. I sighed and placed the vials of blood on the bedside table along with my dagger and belt then I sat down in the chair and held his hand."I won't leave Ohmie. I promise." I started to trace out his nickname on the back of his hand and hummed softly. 

"Alex will you lay with me?" I could hear it in his voice when he was talking that he was trying very hard to stay awake then I chuckled and layed beside him. As soon as I layed down he wrapped his arms around my waist and snuggled into my chest then I yawned and held him close to me as I fell asleep
