Chapter 16

Alex p.o.v

~Next Day~

I got up and went downstairs to the kitchen and made a cup of tea and come coffee then after it was done I took the tea upstairs and knocked on Matts door, it opened slightly so I looked in and saw Matt staring at the ceiling. I sighed and walked in then sat on the bed beside him,"Come on Matt, it's time to wake up."

He sighed and sat up then took the tea and started drinking it,"Come on, let's go and I'll get you something to eat." he nodded and got up then he held my hand and we went downstairs to the kitchen. I made some chicken soup and went to the living room then saw everyone sitting there waiting then they looked at me, Ryan came up to me"Alex....we have to leave today, theres been weird activity in the town close to here. It's not safe anymore Alex, please."

"No Ryan, I can't leave Matt, not like this. He's hurting and he needs me to be with him."Ryan sighed and hugged me. I sighed and hugged back,"I'll call Dallas if you want, he's a pretty big guy, he'll be able to proect me." he held onto my tighter.

"I'm supposed to protect you Alex."

"Please I want you to be ok, just go to the cabin. Dallas and I will be there in a couple days I promise." he let go then pulled me in for a deep kiss that was filled with love. After a minute or two we seperated and I hugged him one last time then let go. I hugged everyone else and then they got on there horses and left, I went back to the kitchen and grabbed a cup of coffee.

"Can my cousin come stay with us? Ryan is worried about my safety-"

"It's because of what I tried to do to Eli isn't it?"

"No, theres been weird activity in the town close to here so he wants to make sure that I'll be safe since he ins't here anymore."

Matt was silent for a minute then said call him, I went to the living room and pulled ou my phone then dialed his number.

"Hey lil' dood what's up?"

"I hate it when you call me that, but I called beacuse Ryan is scared for my safety and he refused to leave unless you came to protect me. The group and me are being hunted and there's weird activity in the town next to where I am. I made them leave and said you and I would join them in a couple days. He's also scared because I'm taking care of a friend that tried to kill my other friend."

"Whats the address?!? I'll be there as soon as I can."

"~insert random address name~, thank you for this Dallas, I'll see you soon" then he hung up the phone and I went back to Matt."He'll be here as soon as he can. How about we go watch a movie?" he nodded then I cleaned out our cups and we went ot the couch while I put on The Conjuring.

~1 hour later~

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

I slowly got up and carefully layed Matts head on the armrest of the couch and walked to the door then opened it and saw Dallas, he smiled at me then I hugged him,"It's great to see you again Elf boy"

"I hate it when you call me that you know." I chuckled and showed him to his room then I took him downstairs to the kitchen and got him some soup, I got myself another cup of coffee and sat with him.

"This is good, so anyway what exactly happened that made your friend go a little crazy."

I mentally cringed at the word crazy because he wasn't crazy, he's just sad."He's not crazy, just sad. His best friend was murdered by one of my best friends." he sat silent for a minute then continued eating. I got up and hummed then cleaned out my cup and went to the living room, I looked at Matt and smiled then mentally sighed,"Matt it's time to get up, you can't sleep on the couch it's bad for your neck and back."
