The Adventure

Chapter 9

As the Vine Blight grabbed my ankle he threw me to the otherside of the cavern. As I collided with the wall I cluched my chest and gasped for air then I wobbled to my feat and pulled out my dagger. As Vine started walking towards me I staggered over to him and swung my dagger at his chest then I heard a low breathy laugh and my blood ran cold as he grabbed me by my neck and slammed me into the wall. I hit my head pretty hard and my dagger fell to the ground then I tried kicking at his broad chest but in return he squezed harder and everything started to get blury.

As I was trying to get away I shook my head frantically then I focused on a shadowy figure it approached us both but Vine was to focused on me to notice."......help......me..." then I passed out from the lack of oxygen.

~~3 hours later~~

I groaned and grabbed my chest then shook my head,"W-Where am I?" I looked around then slowly got up and walked around then after my eyes had finally become used to the dark I saw the motionless body of Blight in the corner and the shadowy figure from before leaning against the wall looking at me. I looked at him and broke out in a cold sweat then backed away and frantically looked for my dagger. I heard a chuckle and he tossed it to me then I looked at him,"Why would you give it back to me? Aren't you going to try and kill me?"

He sighed and shook his head then tossed me my bag"No Noah, jeez I thought you would've known me better than that but I suppose not."

"E-Eli?!?!?!"

"The one and only," then he came over and shook my hand and I looked at him awestruck.

"But how, how are you alive? Its been 4 weeks since you were impaled..."

"After the incident the Lich King found me and decided that he wanted me to be apart of his army, family thing so....he saved me."

"....oh. Does he ever let you go anywhere outside of the caves?" He paused and shook his head.

"I-I'm not really sure.....I've never asked. I thought it would cause you guys to much pain and you were finally moving on with your lives and I didn't want to ruin that so I stayed away."I nodded and put everything back on right where it should be and then I looked at him.

"Let's go home for a bit...I haven't been here before so I'll need your help to get back out."He shrugged and nodded then we went through 5-6 corridors and entered where Blight tried to kill me then we climbed up and went to the surface. I looked around and sighed, it had turned night since I was down there and then we started walking to the house.

"So what has happened since....the incident? How's Alex? Is Lydia ok?"

"Um...well yes Lydia is ok....for the first 2 weeks Alex didn't leave his room, and all you could here was him crying or you couldn hear anything at all. He didn't talk to anyone but Cas and even when he did it was very rarely-" Eli looked at me and his eyes became filled with sadness and regret"-but he went out to clear his head I suppose and then he was reunited with one of his friends from our childhood and now he is doing much better."He looked away and nodded then we continued on the path that led us home."Fuck, I'm gonna have to get Alex to fix me up. I hope they made it back ok."

(Ok first I'm really sorry that this chapter sucked but I tried and I hope you enjoyed it anyway and hopefully chapter 10 will be better. Second, what do you guys think of the story so far?)
