The Adventure

Chapter 8 part 2

Noah p.o.v(2 hours after Alex and Ryan left)

After Ryan and Alex left I was messing with my map trying to find the ways I hadn't been yet then I finally had a plan. I grabbed my map and my dagger then I grabbed a backpack with all my stuff in it and my utility belt. After I was sure I had everything I went outside and walked to my horse then pet his head"Sorry Max,I can't take you with me this time."he somped his foot in responce and I chuckled. Then I started my walk to The Taverns, as I arrived at the caves I stopped and took a deep breath, I haven't been here since the accident.

After I took a couple minutes to breath a sighed and walked into the opening and slowly went to the right then climbed down the large overhange. After I climbed down I heard faint voices coming from the corridor so I ran and hid in the shadows. As they approached I crouched and stayed silent then after they passed I waited another 10 seconds then went over to the sharp drop and slowly climbed down. Once my feet tpuched the floor I darted past the sharp rocks and held my nose, I finally made it to the end of the big cavern and pulled ou my map.

At the wall there were five large openings and I'd already been in the farthest on the left and the farthest on the right so I went into the one in the middle of the three I haven't explored yet. As I was walking I put the map back inside my pack then grabbed a stick and lit it so I could see where I was walking, I really didn't feel like tripping and rwisting my ankle. As I was walking I grabbed some red stained clay powder from one of the pouches on my utility belt and marked an arrow on the wall that would point in the direction of he opening just incase I got lost. As I was walking I began to think about the ruby....and how it's supposed o be protected by Vine Blight. Blight is an awful mysterious creature, he is made up of mostly vines-as the name hints- but he has a sickly green animal/human like skull and ribcage and he functions as if he were human or had a brain at least.

After about 10 more minutes of walking I reached the end of the tunnel and sighed then as I turned around I guess I wasn't looking where I was going and ripped over something. I used my hand and felt around for whatever I tripped over and when my hand reached it, it felt like....a vine. I sighed and decided to follow it, I mean it was probably the only way I would be able to find the ruby. As I was following the vine it led me to the left of the tunnel and then to a wall and I moved my torch closer to the wall to inspect it I could see the very faint outline of a square so I pushed it and to my surprise it actually worked and part of the wall moved to reveal a large room with a round quartz table with vines covering the sides and The Blood Ruby floating in the center of the table. I very carely crouched to the ground and stayed in the shadows then very quickly grabbed a rock about the same size and shape and switched them then ran out of room back out of the tunnel and to the cavern then started to climb the wall. As I was climbing I felt something rough wrap around my ankle............

(Ok so here is part 2, I didn't want to keep you guys waiting so I am mentally exhausted but it's ok because I wrote chapter 9 two days ago because I knew this would happen but anyway I hope you enjoyed and I know this isn't the best book ever but thank you guys so much for 100+ reads. It means a lot that people would take time out of their day to read his crap that I write but anyway BUH BYE<3)
