Chapter 13

Alex p.o.v

As we arrived at Matts house we went around the back and it is was surrounded by thick trees and there was a nice size stable for horses then we put them in there and I pet Lees head. We followed him into the living room and I sat on the loveseat then Ryan came and layed his head in my lap. Eli sat on the armrest and Noah sat in front of the coffee table and layed out his map,"Ok, if we want to be able to get out of here we have to go through Haven Hills then we would be at the lake. We could either go through the lake or we could go around the lake because I know how you feel about water-" he looked at me and I smiled shyly,"-it's up to you really. We should leave sometime in the next 3 days, that would be best because there going to find us in the next couple days and we can't be here when that happens."

"Alright, we should hurry so we'll all be safe and I know I'm terrified of water but we should go through it on a boat because it would be faster and once we get out of the sacred place they hopefully won't follow us past there but if they still do heres a place that will be safe for us to hide." Cas looked at me and nodded then everyone else looked at us and waited for an explanation,"Sorry but for now it's a secret because Cas and I won't speak if were tortured. Anyway, Matt will you please show everyone to their rooms we could all use a break."

"I only have the five rooms so some of you will have to share, is that ok?"

"It's fine and thank you for letting us stay awhile. Cas, Lydia will you two share?" they nodded yes,"I can share with Matt-" Ryan huffed and glared at him"-ok then I'll share with Ryan, Eli, Noah you two good to share?", Noah blushed lightly and Eli smiled and said of course then Matt showed them all to their rooms and I went to the kitchen and started to cook tacos.

I started to sing softly and dance while I was cutting the lettuce"I miss this you know." I looked up at Matt standing in the doorway looking at me and smiling then I playfully glared at him and he came to cut the onions.

"You were ready to settle down and start a family Matt, I didn't want that. I wanted to adventure and explore the world." he sighed and grabbed two bowls and some plates and cups. Then I fixed up a tall pitcher of lemonade and looked at him,"Sorry that it turned out the way it did but I'm surprised you don't have a wife or husband yet."

He rubbed the back of his neck and leaned on the counter,"Heh, I never really found anyone as interesting as you, besides I work for The Beast and I go visit my family quite often so I'm never really home anymore." I finished cooking the meat and fixed up everyones plates and put them on the table."Anyway who's that Ryan guy?....He seems very protective of you"

I blushed lightly,"He's a friend from back when we were kids. Remeber that tall boy that I was always with, dark blue hair and silver eyes? Well anyway, it was about two weeks after Eli died that me and him were reunited and he was the only thing that made me happy." As I finished talking we heard someone running down the stairs and then a couple laughs as Ryan fell down the last couple steps and everyone else behind him. He pouted and walked over to me and hugged me then everyone sat down and started eating.

"How did everyone know we were cooking?" Matt questioned then looked at me.

I chuckled and pointed at Ryan,"He's a shapeshifter and he has the best snifer out of anyone I've ever met. He must have smelled it and told everyone.", he smiled and kept eating then me and Matt took our seats and started eating.

~Time skip to the next day~

I woke up and rubbed my eyes then went downstairs to see Matt sitting at the kitchen table reading a book, I looked at the cup of coffee across from him and smiled then sat down and hummed happily,"You remebered"

"Of course I remebered, you hate tea and like coffee. You once said that you almosted hated tea as much as tomatoes and I know how much you hate those things." I chuckled and continued to drink my coffee,"So, where's your lap dog? He doesn't usually leave you alone."

"He always comes to find me after about 30 minutes, that reminds me-" I got up and put some water on to boil then got some cups down and got tea bags out"- everyone else loves tea and they'll all be up in about 40 minutes." Then we both heard faint footsteps and then Ryan walked down the stairs and came over to me and hugged me from behind."Told you"

Matt chuckled then I finished making the tea and set down Ryans cup on the table and he sat down and sat down again and smiled then finished my coffee and cleaned out the cup then everyone else came downstairs and sat down at the table and I handed them their cups with their favorite tea in it and they smiled and thanked me with sleep laced in there voices. I smiled and walked outside to the horses and went to Lee then I started brushing her mane.

"She's beautiful Alex, you've been doing good with keeping her hair brushed." Matt pet her back and smiled,"It's nice to see you again." I smiled and looked at him.

"Yea...it is, we haven't seen each other in awhile and it feels nice to relax. It sucks we can't stay here longer but we have to leave tomrrow."
