rg/n-random guys name

it was my birthday and so i try to avoid y best friend rg/n as every year for my birthday he plays a harmless hex on me. nothing to big we do it on each other every year. since my birthday is on a school day I have to avoid him even in class. nearly impossible. i was speed walking to the great hall for lunch and not looking where i'm going since i'm looking around for rg/n. i walk straight into someones back and before i can apologize the cold angry voice begins "watch where you're going dumba**" says malfoy his voice full of annoyance.

"whatever malfoy i'm busy right now so shut your trap" i respond just as annoyed and try to leave but notice my feet are stuck. i groan looking around for rg/n who no doubtfully did a spell for me to stay.

"what's wrong can't leave this wonderful sight?" malfoy says with his usual cocky smirk.

"you wish" i respond then begin to mutter under my breath still looking for the jerk that i call my friend. "where is that a**" i question and i notice the annoying blonde was there. "what do you want" i question.

"it's time for lunch are you coming?" he asks as though it's the most obvious question in the world.

"kinda can't" i say and try moving my feet. i use a little more force and then fall. the blonde catches me and walks with me to the slytherin table.

"so what was that about?" he questions.

"my friend and i play pranks on special days. he's in ravenclaw and it's my birthday so he pranks me today. on his birthday i prank him. national holidays is a complete war zone for us two." i explain smiling at the fond memories between us since we were three.

"that's......" he pauses looking for a good way to put our odd interactions. "cute" he says and i am shocked.

"oh uh thanks?" i reply in a more questioning tone.

timeskip to christmas break

i was walking around as every one was in a bust and i feel a hand slip into mine. i was about to slap the person figuring it was rg/n but then i feel their other hand grab my wrist. "HEY RG-" i begin but cut myself off when i see a devilish smirk, silver eyes, and blonde hair. "draco? what is it?" i question since he doesn't really talk much with me....other then flying class and potions.

"come to the malfoy manor with me for christmas. it'll be fun" he explains. i shrug unsure since my parents are both in azkaban and rg/n's are dead the two of us were gonna spend christmas together. "please?" he asks.

"i don't know rg/n and i were gonna have christmas together." i say and my thoughts begin to drift away.

"oh come on i'm sure that he'll understand. now come on l/n it'll be a wonderful way to get to know eachother more." he states and i shruug.

"fine i'll explain to rg/n that we can't hang out for christmas this year i hope he does understand." i say mostly speaking t myself as i begin to worry and feel guilty for not spending christmas with rg/n. my hair begins to float slightly as i feel warmth near me. i smile at malfoy's questioning face. "how long have you been here."

"just got here actually. what you gotta tell me?" rg/n questions while shrugging off the invisibility clock and  wrapping his arms around me, one around my shoulders and one around my waist as usual.

"uhm i can't spend christmas with you this year. i'm so sorry but malfoy gave me an invitation. it's just this year i promise." i try explaining softly. my heart shatters at is reaction.

"fine i understand perfectly y/n. i'll g now since you don' seem to care about this year." he says his voice as cold as ice.

"NO RG?N IT'S NOT THAT" i try yelling after him. i give out an annoyed groan and then malfoy and i go to his manor.

on christmas eve at 11:50 pm

i couldn't sleep and begin to wander the halls. i hear a creak behind me and turn quickly to see draco. "hey" i say quietly.

"why you up?" he questions ad i shrug.

"i just can't sleep. i don't understand fully either. sorry" i try explaining. he hushes me and we go downstairs to thee christmas tree all lit up to illuminate the room in soft colours. draco hugs me while we look out the window to see it snowing lightly.

"hey y/n?" draco says after a few minutes of silence.

"ye-?" i start to reply but his soft lips meet mine in a kiss.

"merry christmas" he says softly as i blush lightly.
