i was walking around love love paradise completely single. what's even sadder is that i was invited to my sister Brittany's (a/n if your name is brittany make up a name) wedding that she was having at love love paradise, and i had to go alone. that sucks but now i'm going to relax and hang out at the beach. i go to the beach and see a shorter girl with black hair and tan skin and a normal sized girl with blue hair and slightly paler. they were talking on a beach towel and then the blue haired beauty went to the water. i decided was at the beach i might as well join her and start up a conversation. i walk to her and smile.

"hi i'm y/n. what's your name?" i start.

"oh hi i'm katelyn, nice to meet you. beautiful park huh?" she asked and i nodded.

"i came for my sisters wedding, i think i was the only one who didn't have a date there other than the kids." i state. she giggles slightly and gives a sympathetic sigh.

"i'm sorry, that really sucks. my friends got tickets to this place and we all came." she replies.

i smile "that's cool. wanna talk for a bit?"

"sure!" she responds and we begin talking and swimming.

katelyn and i have been talking for around a few hours and it was near noon. we decided to get some food since we were also swimming most of the time. we head to this restraunt that i've never heard of. once we are seated and have placed our orders katelyn starts getting more personal and i do too.

turns out we are very similar this way, we both don't usually feel okay opening up to others and that we are usually to ourselves but also very friendly and social. we have a bunch of secrets and also have divorced parents. after we eat and start walking around again and katelyn spots her dad....talking to my dad!?!?! i haven't seen my dad since college graduation 3 years ago!!! i tense up and katelyn grabs my hand walking over.

"hey dad" she says cheerfully.

the blue haired male speaks up with a thick southern accent "hey sugarpea. this your new friend?" he asks and she nods.

"hey y/n it's nice to see you again." my father speaks up. i glare slightly and katleyn squeezes my hand.

"nice to see you again too father." i reply looking away. "i should go" i reply and before i can turn away to leave katelyn stops me and kisses my cheek.

"see you later?" she asks.

i blush slightly and nod "y-yeah" i say and then run away. oh my goodness!!! she kissed me, on the cheek but still.
