{Shawn's POV}
"Dude, stop staring." Brian said. I shook my head and looked at him.

"What? Do you think she noticed?" I asked. He shrugged and leaned back in his seat.

"See for yourself." I furrowed my eyebrows and saw her chuckling at me. My heart raced as I smiled at her and looked back down at the homework I was doing.

"She was asking about you, you know?" Brian told me. I glanced up at him excitedly.

"She was? What was she saying? What did you say?"

"She was just asking what you were like, if you were single, things like that." I grinned widely and looked back at her. "I told her you ask about her a lot, she just smiled." He explained.

"Was it an awkward smile or a genuine smile?" I asked.

"You're such a girl. It was a genuine smile, Shawn." I sighed with relief. "Go talk to her," he said.

"What if she turns me down?" I asked.

"Never know unless you try," I sighed and nodded before standing up.

"Hey, is this seat taken?" I asked. She looked up and smiled before shaking her head.

"Go ahead." I pulled the chair out and sat down.

"So, Y/N. I was wondering if...you wanted to, maybe, go out sometime?" I asked. She checked her phone and shrugged.

"Sure. Want to come my place?" She asked.

"What, as in, now?" I stuttered.

"Do you have any other plans?" She questioned.

"No, let me just go grab my things." I said. I walked over to Brian and grabbed my bag and stuffed all my papers in it.

"I'm assuming it went well," he smirked. I shrugged and threw my bag over my back.

"Whatever. I'll text you later about the homework." I said before jogging out the door to meet Y/N.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Yep,"

"That was short." She said as we walked out of the rain and into her apartment complex. I chuckled and shrugged.

"Short but sweet." She laughed and unlocked her door.

"Want to come in?" She asked. I stared into her eyes and smiled.

"Sure." She closed the door behind me and we made our way to the couch. She switched on the TV and turned to face me.

"So, what made you talk to me today? I mean, we've been going to the same school for like a year." She said.

"I guess I just finally built up the confidence. You looked beautiful today and-not that you don't look beautiful every day, but it's just today my friend, Brian said-" her lips were suddenly on mine and my hands found her waist.

A few moments later, she was straddling my waist and pulling the ends of my hair. We eventually pulled away, both of us panting for air.

"Sorry, I got a little excited." I chuckled. She looked down at my lap and raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I can tell."
