{Shannon's POV}
"My head hurts," he cries as I massage his head.

"Shawn, if you take your medicine you won't be any more pain." I mumbled so I didn't make his headache any worse.

"It hurts my throat, though." He said, his voice raspy.

"The pain will be even worse if you don't take it. Come on, Shawn. You're 19 and won't take medicine from me or your parents?" I asked. He whined and buried his head in the crook of my neck.

"The pain isn't as bad in my head here," he said. I chuckled and massaged his head.

"You've got a migraine, Shawn. It's only better there because it's dark." I explained.

"Either way, I'm staying here." He said. I turned off his light that was on his bedside table and slowly got up.

"Shannon," he groaned and brought his stuffed lion closer to his chest, he's had it since he was a child and I guess it just makes him feel better.

"Shawn," I said in the same tone. I closed his curtains and turned off his lights.

"Come back." He mumbled and grabbed his forehead in his hands, covering his eyes.

"I'm going to get your medicine." I said. He groaned as I closed the door and walked into his kitchen.

"Hey, Karen?" She turned to look at me and smiled.

"What's up?" She asked.

"Shawn needs medicine for his throat and his migraine, do you have it?" I asked. She rummaged through the cupboards and pulled out a container. She handed me them and I thanked her.

"Shawn," I knocked on the door and slowly opened it. Shawn was on his bed with his eyes shut, trying to hold back his smile. I sighed and sat on the foot of his bed. "Shawn, I know you're not asleep." I said. He remained in the same position so I slowly grabbed his stuffed lion and took it into my hands.

"Shannon, give it back!" He said.

"Sure. After you take your medicine." I smirked.

"It hurts my throat, though." He said. I shrugged and handed him a spoonful of the medicine.

"Shawn, you're 19 years old. Take the damn medicine," I snapped. He shook his head and pulled his blanket up to his neck. "It's going to go all over you bed," I said as I held the spoon.

"I don't care." He muttered.

"You're acting like a child." I said. He shrugged and rolled his eyes. "Fine, don't take it." I grabbed it in my hand as well as his stuffed lion and stomped down the stairs.

"Any luck?" Manny asked with a chuckle.

"I hate how stubborn that boy is," I said, shaking my head.

"Don't we all,"

"Shannon!" Shawn yelled, followed by a load of coughs. I rushed up the stairs and into his room. "Can you get me the medicine, please?" He asked. I nodded and went back down the stairs to get his medicine.

"Was that as bad as you thought?" I asked as he wiped his mouth with his sleeve.

"Yes." He said.

"You're such a drama queen. Here," I handed him his stuffed lion. He grinned and pulled my down by my waist.

"I'm sorry for being a pain in the ass," he mumbled. I played with his hair as he got heavier.

"It's alright. Get some sleep, Shawn." I whispered. He yawned and nodded, burying his head in the crook of my neck.

"I love you, Shannon."

"I love you, too."
