Right after eating lunch together, Sana and Tzuyu returned to school and went their separate ways.
The younger one went to look for Somi, and once she found her, the two drove back to the Kim family’s rest house to pick up Somi’s belongings, then stopped by the Chou residence to get Tzuyu’s things.
As for Sana, she headed to Nayeon’s house to pack before moving to the seniors’ dormitory.
The moment she arrived, Momo rushed toward her and immediately helped carry her suitcase to their designated room.
“Yah! Sana, what took you so long?” Momo asked as soon as they got inside. “Tell me...are you hiding something from me?”
“What kind of question is that?” Sana chuckled.
“Well, my best friend disappeared for hours, I couldn’t contact her, and I haven’t eaten anything. I’m starving,” Momo complained as she slumped onto the small sofa.
“I thought you were eating with your cousin,” Sana replied.
“I did! But that was hours ago, and I barely ate because I was waiting for you. So yeah, I’m hungry again,” Momo reasoned.
“Oh? You didn’t eat much because you were waiting for me? How sweet. That’s why I love you,” Sana teased, blowing a kiss toward the other Japanese girl.
“That still doesn’t answer my question,” Momo said, crossing her arms. “You said you were just seeing a friend, and you were gone forever.”
As they walked toward the school canteen, Sana explained that her new friend, long-leg—had invited her to eat lunch outside the campus.
Not long after, they arrived. Sana ordered food for Momo while the latter waited at their table. When Sana returned with the tray, she sat across from her best friend and handed her favorite dish to the blonde.
“Thanks, bestie. You’re the best,” Momo said happily before narrowing her eyes. “Anyway, who exactly is this long-leg? I mean, her real name. You keep calling her that instead of using an actual identity.”
“About that…” Sana hesitated, looking at her. “I don’t know her real name yet. I just call her long-leg because, well...she’s tall.”
Momo immediately smacked Sana’s head with her spoon.
“Ouch! What was that for?” Sana whined.
“Pabo! How can you do that?” Momo scolded. “You went somewhere with a stranger! What the hell, Sana? Sorry for cussing, but seriously, you can’t just go off with a random person like that. What if they did something to you? What if that person is a rapist? My God, what is happening to you?”
“You’re overreacting, Momoring,” Sana said calmly. “Long-leg is a girl. We’re the same sex, we’re on the same side. There’s no way she’d rape me, you dumbass. And besides, if she had bad intentions, she could’ve done something last night at their rest house.”
Meanwhile, Nayeon and Jeongyeon had just finished packing. Nayeon sat on the couch, and Jeongyeon immediately followed, plopping herself onto Nayeon’s lap.
“Finally!” Jeongyeon sighed in relief.
“Get off me. You’re heavy,” Nayeon said, lightly pushing her.
“Why should I? It’s more comfortable here,” Jeongyeon replied.
“Because I don’t like you sitting on me. If you want to sit on someone, go find a guy, not me,” Nayeon snapped, pushing her harder this time.
“This rabbit…” Jeongyeon muttered as she slid down to the floor.
“I heard that,” Nayeon warned, raising a folded newspaper. Before she could strike, Jihyo spoke up.
“I already know where this conversation is going,” she said flatly. “If you don’t stop right now, I’ll make you two sleep together tonight on a single bed, with no pillows and no blankets.”
With that being said, the two girls quickly behave.
Later that afternoon, Tzuyu and Somi arrived at the juniors’ dormitory. When Tzuyu entered their shared room, Dahyun greeted her with an unmistakable smirk.
“So,” Dahyun began, “how long have you been dating that girl?”
“I’m not dating anyone,” Tzuyu replied bluntly as she walked toward her cabinet.
“Interesting,” Dahyun said, following her. “What about the girl who hugged you at the seashore this morning? Because last time I checked, the great Chou Tzuyu doesn’t let anyone touch her, let alone hug her, unless they’re really close.”
“Stop smiling. It’s creepy,” Tzuyu replied without looking at her. “And stop asking nonsense.”
“Nonsense?” Dahyun chuckled. “Come on, Chou. How many points did you get?”
“Why would I tell you? We’re not that close,” Tzuyu retorted. “And what do you even expect me to say?”
“Savage as always,” Dahyun said. “Fine. If you won’t tell this dubu, I’ll just inform that loud cousin of yours that you’re going out with someone. What was her name again? Sana? Ah yes—Minatozaki Sana, the transferee.”
Tzuyu froze and finally turned to face her. “We’re not dating,” she said firmly. “I just helped her that night and brought her to the family rest house. She doesn’t even know who I am, and that’s it.”
“I’m not buying it,” Dahyun replied smugly. “I saw her wearing your clothes.”
“Who’s wearing Tzuyu’s clothes?” Chaeyoung asked as she entered the room.
“Well,” Dahyun said, grinning wider, “Tzuyu lent her shirt to someone. Guess who that lucky girl is?”
“Who?” Chaeyoung asked, confused.
“The brunette who hid behind your back earlier,” Dahyun replied, clearly enjoying Chaeyoung’s reaction.
“Daebak!” Chaeyoung exclaimed. “I told you, Tzu, you’d like her. She’s a real-life Aurora!”
“Wait,” Tzuyu said, surprised. “You mean Sana is the girl you’ve been wanting us to meet all this time?”
Chaeyoung nodded enthusiastically and pulled out her phone. “I’m texting Nayeon-unnie about this!”
“Don’t,” Tzuyu said quickly, stopping her. “Not now. Sana doesn’t know who I am yet. I want her to find out from me, personally.”
“This is unbelievable,” Dahyun scoffed. “You lend her clothes, let her hug you, you even slept under the same roof, and she doesn’t know your name? Slow move, Chou. Slower than a turtle.”
“Just don’t ruin my plan,” Tzuyu replied calmly. “Let me handle it myself.”
